...And I thought his joke was lame. :sigh:
Haha, lame jokes are my specialty...but you have to know me very well to appreciate the beauty in that...
Probably to fill the supports with sand.

I bet we all aren't going to see anymore t-bar restraints, they are all going to be over the shoulder harness.
The 'plugs' as you call them are a mere foam block embedded into each footer. If you notice on the bottom of every support there it what appears to be an 'H" shape. This gets embedded and possibly glued if I am correct, then the anchor bolts are put on then tensioned once the track pieces are in place.
No no the "plugs" I mean are the 4" round couplings with a hex head plug in them they appear near the top of each support.
My guess would be for electrical.

In every support? No way would they have electrical in every single support over 2 ft. tall. Almost, if not every single support that is 2-3 ft. or taller have the plugs in them. I'm saying they're for sand.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
The holes are for filling the pieces with sand, as aforementioned many times and is so that the ride doesn't make as much noise from the hollow supports where the sound bounces around more. I think B&M brought in the concept and they do it to the supports and the track, thus giving pretty much a silent coaster ride. A good example of this that comes off mind is Talon at Dorney Park which was one of the first coasters to be filled with sand if I recall correctly and it is just so creepy when it flys by and makes no sound. Also, it helps to decrease noise pollution.
Also, in responce to the electrical in supports, has that ever been done before? I don't think I've ever seen any electrical parts IN supports, occasionally snaked around them, but never in them. Was just wondering if that has ever been done before.
Ride Count at Dorney Park so far this year:
Hydra: 14 Laser: 3 Steel Force: 11 Talon: 18 Thunderhawk: 4
And that's just in 23 hours!
Yes it has been done.

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
Has anyone ever mentioned this kind of roller coaster as a possibility?

It just looks similar to P2007's "ingredients"

Those are some serious turns (sidewindin') & those supports look awefully familiar.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
One problem with that. The supports that are already up all are for an above-the-track train set up.
