New coaster supports give insight to design!

Hey Point fans! Looking at the new pics of the supports and all of the laid out supports show that the new coaster is not going to be a 500 ft tall coaster as read in many other posts, however they do indicate that it will be a low to the ground flying coaster. My thoughts are that, by judging of the amount of support footers are that they may make it to be the longest steel track length made, possibly the longest ride time yet with a steel coaster. My prediction is that is will be the intamin track, low flying, thru narrow tree lines and flying low over bodies of water, like your feet may actually hit the water as you glide accross it, with many inversions and looping turns. "whole new direction" backwards or side facing seats? or winged-like seat as seen on that intamin winged coaster video? But that's just my thought. whats yours?

Not 500 ft??? Damn....

Low flying Intamin, flying over bodies of water? Nah, I don´t think so... ;)

thanks for the reply, then how would you predict that the new coaster is going to end up? considering there are many footers in bodies of water?

check this pic out...http://www.pointbuzz.com/gallery/4295.jpg *** Edited 7/19/2006 7:28:54 AM UTC by Zbusta***

i think the low flying intamin sounds good..it will immediately launch you out of the station...i have a preference for being high sbove the ground, but it sounds fun.

Maybe the "whole new direction" is not highest from the ground, but lowest to the ground?

or the fact that your facing the ground...

I would think that would be pretty cool if you were flying over the water. Now that sounds like fun!

it does, it seems like they would be sticking to the theme of flying i.e. 'Skyhawk'. I'm still convinced the two are linked. Wait for something blue to arrive at the site..just wait.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. ;) I thought that we already knew that it´s gonna be a lowflying Intamin coaster, that´s going to fly over bodies of water (Swanboat pond). Besides the footers in the pond has been there for a very long time now. And I didn´t see the need to start a new thread about it ;)

this is just a post of his opinion

Yes, but there are a lot of similar threads to state ones opinion in. If we all started a new thread to state our opinion on Project 2007, now how chaotic would that be? But anyway, my bet´s on AquaTrax (and I´ll just state in in this thread ;) ).

The supports don't give any insight except that there will be one turn low to the ground. There is no way to tell from the supports (or the track) that it will be a flying coaster or AquaTrax (my personal hope).

Post of the year.

John - You actually CAN tell that the rumored "airplane" trains are not going to be used now. The bank or the track, combined with the proximity of the track to the earh pretty much eliminates that concept.

Weren't those the train "designs" that were part of a promotional packet from IAAPA? I don't think those were anything more than concept ideas, nothing that would ever make it into the real-world (unless they've built one, if so, correct me) but are designed to say "Wouldn't it be cool if...."
The auto industry does it all the time. You'd be surprised at how many concepts never make it to the Auto Shows, much less a dealership. I'm sure its no different in the Amusement Industry.

Isn't it obvious, guys, that this coaster is going to be a red Intamin? I mean, just look at the supports.
