Well, What If The trains did face the water? I Think they maybe lowered the pond because maybe it was too high for the train to be able to pass through.

No, TIME will do that. Sadly, time apparently moves too slowly for almost everybody here.

I'm all for sarcasm, but it amazes me at the ideas that people on here come up with. To even suggest that they are lowering the water in the pond before supports are installed because of clearance issues with the train is just ludicrous.

Not that I dislike summer, but beginning in Sepetember, this board gets easier to read.

Actually, I thought Newsweek had an exclusive on the announcement?

I guess what amazes me is that everytime a new development comes arround, there are crap loads of crap that spews from a few people. I was the one that said that "its cool to speculate", but some of the ideas are impossible, and quite funny, but dumb at the same time. I want to know what the ride is going to be just as bad as everyone else, but jesus-tap-dancin-christ, lets atleast be smart about it. Speculation can be a good thing, but be smart about it.

The coaster supports are like the ones on all the normal steel coasters. Its highly unlikely it will be a flying coaster. If it was the track should be like X-Flight. All we know is that it will be a red steel coaster. Later in the year they will let everyone know what the coaster have to offer as far as type, name, speed, height.

This is good to hear that supports are now starting to rise, I'm excited about this. I betcha by next week they'll have like 3 updated pages just showing the supports.

Dalefan, Xflight is a Vekoma coaster. Intamin has yet to build a flying coaster. We have no idea what Intamin flying track would look like (if its any different than their standard track). This could very well still be a flying coaster.

Given that Intamin's hyper, rocket, invert, etc track all looks alike, it may be safe to assume flyer track would follow suit. But, who knows?

there are now pieces of "2-rail" track in the staging area. pointXtreme has pics of that and the weird grid piece that's red.

JuggaLotus, I'm a little confused. What exactly do you mean when you say a 2 rail? Does that mean it's part of a lift, part of a brake run?

Nice.

*ahem*

Any pics of red 2-rail that will be used on Cedar Point's 2007 addition, that is also incidentally not going to break 6 or 7 records?

Shawn, there are 3 types of Intamin track (all of which incidentally have only 2 ACTUAL running rails).

There is 2 rail - a flat piece of track made of 2 rails and cross-members.

There is 3 rail - essentially 2 rail track with a third "rail" or spine. These are triangular in cross-section.

There is also 4 rail or box-track. This has 2 spines, 2 running rails and is square in cross-section.

If this coaster is a lift then where are the straight pieces? And if it is a launch same question.

It's neither. I heard that in keeping with the theme, the ride is going to be towed by donkeys.

Those double footers along the water? Yeah, one set's for a towpath.
