Well, I didn't mean to get it down to nitpicking photos. There's almost always a slope down, even if it's slight... my main point is don't set it in concrete (no pun intended) that those supports are for a launch, and a launch only. It's still a bit early for that.

That might support your theory better than TTD and MF.

Storm Runner has the steepest thus far.....or at least that I know of.

And Gravity. I dont think we can expect much if it were to launch towards mean streak.

Looking at that and looking at it first hand, those footers just dont seem like theyre placed for a high speed enterance. I think theyre for entering the station.
This is rough idea of what I think.

Yeah, after looking at Xcelerator, Kingda Ka, Storm Runner, and our mystery ride here, it seems most likely to me that this will be another descending magnetic brake run. Waste of a hill, not to mention potential energy, if you ask me. I suppose it could be a launch though. Or how about a plain old hill? Haha..now there's a funny thought. And the WWL station = ¿? There has to be some reason why they didn't scrap it yet.

Well one good thing is is this run, whatever ti is, is surrounded by a sea of other footers which only god and a few executives know why. I also like those itty bitty footers ive seen that are a whole foot or two tall. The new pictures from today havent been posted here yet but im sure we can expect an update tonight.
Mechanical Engineer: Dont mess with us, we design your coasters.
I don't even think god knows what's going on with this one.....although it does seem to me that the "bike rack" track could fit in with this theory of a brake run [look at Xcelerator - it isn't that different]

Ok...I don't know if this was said before, but here it goes.
All of those turns are insanely tight and low. However there are huge supports with extensions in the staging area that are capable and probably will go around 200 feet if not higher. The same size as Wicked Twister's. Again, those turns are extremely tight. So if there is some altitude to this coaster, there will be considerable speed that WILL need to be lost before it hits those turns. Either by a brake which will kill the ride, or just through length and elements.

From trying to dissect all the supports and footings and track pieces, I've come to one conclusion. There's never a "rule" to anything. Intamin uses so many different connections, that its impossible to find a "rule of thumb" for these things. Well, that is unless you work there and design them yourself! I was trying to tell the difference between where an extension tube was connected to a support and where track was connected to a support. I thought I had it figured it out with the "webs" around the bolt holes. But, then I found multiple examples that contradicted my thinking.
I think the descent of supports in that straight line will be a brake run though. Not a launch. I think the supports to the outside of them will be for the lift hill though. I think the coaster will go up the lift towards TC and return underneath the lift towards MS.
Then again, this could be something totally innovative that we've never seen before and we'll all be wrong. LOL!!!
I'm hoping for something innovative (that was one of my original guesses). I love when something completely different is done.....especially when it's at CP.:)

Has anyone thought to think this might not be a rollercoaster, but rather a random collection of footers and track leading up to absolutely nothing?

mk522, are you that starved for attention or just entirely out of "creative" ideas? That one was a bit hurtful :(
WHAT?? mk522 had an actually original creative idea. Granted he's got a .00000000000000000000001% chance of actually being right, but at least he offered something other than it being a hyper-wingwalker-launched-inversion record-floorless-standing coaster.

Well, yes, but wouldn't that get us all upset at CP and therefore not want to go there? After all, playing with emotions is very unkind. So I say its a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000% chance. Or is that just me?
Unless you are very sensitive, and don't like people pointing out the fact that LIFE is spelled with an 'I' and an 'E'.

Yes, its a possibility. Then again, logistically, every coaster really goes nowhere. Distance traveled and time taken go up, but total disbursement is nada, as you go in a complete process which takes you back to the beginning to start all over again.
And, if that idea was a joke, I gotcha, I didn't mean to make fun of you...
