Besides volcano, Intamin has built 2 other traditional style inverted coasters. (both have a lift hill and no launch)

Dont see how it pertains to CP though

Is it just me, or are both of these named "Tornado"? Strange?

Im going to say it again, its a :

Mega Looper

Swooping Dive into the former Swan Boat area

Inversions:11

They could go "revolutionary" and go for 18 to break the inversion record for a park.

Well,it could be new track for dragster Or a Intamin water coaster.

It's not new track for Top Thrill Dragster. Top Thrill Dragster does not have any triangular shaped track anywhere on it. We've already been over this.

I believe the Intamin track is really for Geauga's 500ft MF clones. Cedar Point is just trying to cover up for the Frontier Town coaster which will be similar to this coaster:

I find it scary that a company actually manufactures these kinds of coasters in the new millennium.

I'm having trouble understanding the whole aquatrax thing. I know the analogy about riding on a jet-ski or whatever, but I'm not getting it by looking at the pictures. From what I see it just looks like a toboggon type car with a lot of theming....Disaster Transport on a track. What is so special about the aquatrax design?

Would that work for all you flyer lovers? ;)

Is it me or is that track suspended by cable?!?!

Hmm...Well, upon closer observation and continued contemplation, I have to go along with Jeff. I'm just going to take the most obvious point of view on the whole issue and go from there. By process of elmination, it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out in the coming weeks.

i hope in the near future (not 2007) that CP takes on the flyer and "reinvents" it though. the flyer is a great concept and i've enjoyed the several that i've ridden. but, i know they can be better. hopefully someday CP makes a kickin' one.

I haven't read through this whole thread, but one of the 'employees' said it will 'Shock you'

One of the new signs say "A storms a brewin'"

A launch coaster maybe? That's the only thing I could imagine taking a lot of 'shock'

Maybe a powder keg like coaster?

Id take that with a grain of salt ;)

I doubt seasonal employees know anymore than we do right now. And non-seasonal employees would not spill the beans if they like they're jobs.

But it might, that much I do not know.

Actually, I think there are some seasonals that know more than you'd think right now.

There are those of us, when employed there, that would take it upon ourselves to try to find things out. Then there are others that just make stuff up.

I asked a bunch of seasonal employees what was being built when I was at the park last weekend.

The most popular answers were "Something big." and "I don't know. They don't tell us."

My favorite answer was "A new ride."

The footers are for the new landscaping project. They're turning Frontiertown into a tropical land and those footers are for the plastic palm trees.

I think people are thrown-off by the word 'AquaTrax'. Just because 'Aqua' is in the name, dosen't mean it has to be themed to water and can't be themed to something else...

My guess, Wizard of Oz ;)

Btw, I noticed SkyHawks queue shades are now American flags... is that a clue?

Not a clue. It simply fits in with the "Americana" atmosphere they are creating back there. And they always have been as they are now - nothing's new.
