I never said you didn't know what you were talking about. I just pointed out what the state requires.
@Willis - Canada's Wonderland started and completed construction sooner than Cedar Point. So, naturally they've got the bugs worked out and fixed and are up and running sooner than Cedar Point.

Just refreshed my Active Desktop. I'd say they look to be at about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way out as far as they will normally be.

Hopefully Cedar Point sends us an update soon giving the the public an update of when Windseeker will make it's debut! Most of the general public would probably consider ocean motion a new ride just because of the new location it received this year along with more theme. In their eyes, Cedar Point received two new rides along with Windseeker. So far when I've gone to Cedar Point, nobody has been upset. :)
I wouldn't expect an update on the ride until the day of its opening, or perhaps the day prior. I can't imagine the park is eager to run the risk of missing a promised date.

Doesn't look like they're at full speed yet. Am I wrong?

That is definitely not full speed. I know they are doing a series of tests with motion before you'll see a complete cycle: spinning slowly, raising the gondola, stopping, starting, rinse, repeat.
CP's is close, but I'm sure it's not opening in the next few days.

It sounds like teaching a kid how to brush his teeth....:)
this ride is like a toddler learning how to take his first steps....

Like when they assured everyone that they were talking about a "matter of days" with regard to a delay?
Should've stuck to the old "can't comment on when exactly" credo instead of making that statement. At least I know now that when I return for Halloweekends I will be one of the first riders.

You know, I think its funny that 5 days ago on cedar point's face book page a person said and I quote " I'm in the know, and windseeker will be open in 3 days. Just want you all to know" People like that, always make me laugh! Anyway, I am excited to ride but I think they are learing from the mistakes of Canada's Wonderland(CW). I know Adam and I were talking opening day at CP (cedar point) and he was saying they were fixining a break problem on the Load breaks... So yea I completely agree I want them to take their time... I dont want the ride to be down weeks like CW's was! I also agree maybe a no comment or an ignore is in order for the park guests.

Did they "assure" us? I thought there was a "might" or "may be" thrown in there. I may be wrong...
But sure they probably shouldn't have said that but, in their defense, they made that statement before the brake and arm/damper fixes had to be made. Those definitely pushed the "matter of days" statement a bit past days.
Though the signs they display do say "We anticipate the ride opening later this month" keyword being anticipate. That's not really a promise but I'm sure some people would see it as one.

And I'm not even slightly annoyed or upset by the delay, although if I remember correctly it was stated rather matter-of-factly as a message of assurance to Cedar Pointers that it would only be a matter of days.

According to the transcript from the call, he was asked, "Are we talking about weeks or months?" to which he answered, "No, I think we are talking at the latest Memorial Day."
Of course, to enthusiasts, "I think" sounds a lot like "I guarantee". ;)

Cp never said how many days! :) A "matter of days" can be 356days.... that is a matter of days actually. :)

Has anybody noticed any action going on with Windseeker the last few days? The last I was there was Saturday and me and Adam(TTD 120) both noticed that it was spinning. Are they still doing spinning tests and also is it going all the way to the top?
