FWIW last weekend I was at KI and it looked like they had actually taken the dampers back off (pretty sure they were on about two weeks ago), and it looked like they had been doing a lot of work inside the towers. The "struts" or extension support on the swing arms for the dampers were attached, but it looked like there were marks on them where they had fully assembled them and then proceeded to take them off. It sounds (and looks) as if CP either hasn't encountered the issue that caused KI to take the dampers off/worked around it, or just hasn't gotten to that point yet. If it is (hopefully) the first choice, it could be open before too long. If it is the second and ends up looking like KI (dampers missing, seats still tied together, stuff in pieces in the tower)...I don't have very much faith in that particular one opening before the end of June, and if CP hits the same issue, again not until the end of the month, at least.
Again, that is all just my observation and feeling on the situation and not representative of any positive working knowledge to the specific situation(s).

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Huh, I thought they had been installed (partly since it looked like there were marks on the extensions that looked like bolt marks/scratches, but I also thought I had read/heard that they were installed). Still, they didn't look anywhere close to even starting testing on it again as of Saturday.

It went up and down today. But, didn't appear to be spinning.

[T}he manufacturer always over sees testing up to a point when they turn the ride over to the park for the remainder of testing. Thats when theyre taught how to run it. I think theres an order to who gets taught first, second, third, etc. Like park management, then mechanics, then supervisors, then ops. Dont quote me on that though. :D
So if i'm reading that correctly, if I see the ride ops in there and running the ride, it's going to open soon (a day or so). But if I still see Mondial guys there then we've got at least another 4 days left (probably more). Is that correct?
