That doesn't mean too much,

I wasn't reading into it. I was just stating a fact.

So what I would like to do is give you the 20 cents and I'll take the other 80 cents. How does that sound?

Pretty crappy. This also doesn't make any sense with regards to any type of analogy.

For those who dont get it, We still have 80% of the season.. who cares that it isnt open yet? It will, and that is all that matters.

I'll tell you who cares; John H., Kinzel, etc...more than anyone here.

Are you guys, that are complaining, telling me because it didnt open when the CEO said he "thought" it would, you're not going to ride it?

Not sure what that has to do with anything. That said, there are thousands of people who have already visited who only come once a year, and their trip is done. I'm sure it hasn't completely ruined anyone's day, but that does not mean it isn't disappointing. That's where the problem lies; no manager of any kind wants to disappoint their customers in any way. Every day that WS is not open, that's x amount of people they are disappointing again, and again.

It's like a marquee restaurant being out of a signature dish for a few months. Does it ruin anyone's meal? No, they order something else. Does it disappoint a lot of people? You bet. Does anyone care? The people in charge do.

I was at CW on Sunday, June 6 and rode their Windseeker. To be perfectly honest, I was expecting to be scared to death, but it was a very smooth, calm ride. It was like riding the Space Spiral at CP except for not being enclosed, of course. It may be a different story at CP with the winds coming off the lake. Hopefully CP's Windseeker is up and running by the time I make it there in mid-July, to see it there is any difference between the two. :)

^This is pretty much exactly the sort of ride experience I have long been suggesting Windseeker would be.

Well I was there all day Friday, just got home. The ride ops were there off and on today playing with their new toy so I guess that means we are close according to what is posted in this thread. Looked like they were having fun being the first ones getting to mess around with it. Anyone know when those doggone bugs go away riding all the coasters tonight was so painful and gross.

They're not around for a long period (thankfully). A few weeks I think.

I hope because I really love riding the rides in the dark and it was just impossible tonight. Millie and Mean Streak killed me, didn't even attempt Dragster when I saw how many were swarming by the big lights. Wondering if at least half the screams on the rides tonight were from pain, lol.

They really should just shut off the lights on the rides where the bugs are a problem. Leave the lift hill lights on. The Dragster tower is like one giant bug light.

Hmmm - imagining they were to put electrified screens and blue lights all along the Dragster tower, turn them on after the park closes and watch the sparks fly! Bug problem solved in one night! Now that would be a show to see.

I know you weren't being serious. But, hypothetically, that wouldn't really solve it in one night anyway. Muffelheads only live one day. That's how many are coming out of the lake every day. So, even with the world's tallest bug zapper, it would still be a constant battle.

I'm not liking the early reviews from CW at all.

All CP's and Ki's windseekers do is just sit there, raise up a tad bit, then sit, then they park it, run off to have lunch break, raise it up, and it sits some more, lol : /

I think it will be ready when the last weekend of halloweekends comes....:)

At the park now and standing in front of windseeker. It just did a short test at what looked to be full speed or close to it. It has speakers in the gondola that plays the score from E.T. while you ride. That's pretty cool.

That is a nice little touch. Is it always that song? Just curious if there is some sort of rotation...

Didn't stick around long enough to find out. I'm in line for millennium force and I can see it test from here. It looks so awesome at night.

I'm guessing that we'll see a grand opening of Windseeker at the end of June. That's my guess! If it goes any longer without opening, Cedar Point is not going to be happy with Mon dial.

Is it possible it could open today? They are really running it right now like they do with every ride in the morning before opening.
