Seem to be plenty of rumors floating that it will open today or tomorrow. We will see.

The park officials on site yesterday kept telling people it would be at least few more days. Take that for what it's worth. I didn't get close enough to read any name tags, but I heard them say it over and over. They were not any of the few park officials I recognize by name.
My pleasure and glad I could share it with you all.
It's awesome to know that there are several songs on rotation. (pun intended) That will add to a different experience throughout the summer.
Does anyone know if the Kings Island or Canada's Wonderland version does this? I didn't hear it in any of those videos.
Wow, it's sad that I work here and still haven't seen the ride testing yet. I should probably make my way over there today.
2011 - Trash Crew
Was there sunday and talked to the team leader whom my friend knew from when she worked at CP. She said the ride will be state- inspected this week....sometime.
while we chatted, so many people came up and asked her if the ride was broken, and when will it open, lol
When we were walking by the stadium, a guy seriously came up to me and asked me what my opinion was on the ride, and if it was a good ride or not. lol. I just said its not ready and you will have to wait for a bit longer......:)
If you look in my video I posted, you'll see something halfway up the tower. It looks like it holds the cables in place. As the gondola rises and gets to that point, the metal bracket/guide starts to rise with the gondola. As it descends, it stops descending once it reaches it's original point.
What is that? Is it just a guide?
I'm sure that is a means of holding the very long tower cables in place when the carriage is at ground level. If they didn't have one, the cables would move around due to wind buffeting and strike the tower. Like a flagpoles cables will do on a windy day - causing quite a ruckus.

On a quiet windy night you can hear the cables banging against the tower of the space spiral....Kind of a weird sound
GO IRISH!!
Sunday of opening weekend was extremely windy and the cables hitting the tower were so loud, it almost sounded like a small explosion. That must have been prior to the installation of that piece.

They have some of the seat backs off and they look like they're pumping something into them. Any ideas what this is? They also look like they've done it a lot. They're really quick at getting the backs off and on.
Lube, hydraulic fluid, no idea really. Just guessing.

I think this is the part where they fill each one full of fluff, a tiny heart and a secret wish. Then they stitch them lovingly back up.

I am sorry but that is hands down the funniest thing ever posted on this forum and they said you had no sense of humor.
