Lucky sobs! :)
Looks like we will see opening tomorrow or Wednesday! Guess I have to go Sunday. :D

Don't feel bad Adam, I won't be able to make it until possibly Sunday as well. If I don't make it then, then I'll have to try and squeeze time in during my vacation. :)
There was an employee ride night on it tonight, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's open tomorrow (Tuesday).

I wonder if the original design was to start the spinning at ground level or if they always planned for it to start after lifting the carriage part way up the tower.
I noticed it seems to take a ridiculously long time to park. It stops lowering about 50 feet off the ground and waits until the carriage completely stops spinning before lowering the rest of the way. I wouldn't be surprised if they tweak this a bit to make it faster, similar to how Maxair parks considerably faster now than when it opened.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Sweet. If it opens today, I'm going up after work. I'll be there Sunday. But, I'm not sure my guests will ride. If anyone want's to meet up, let me know.

I'll be curious to see how well capacity flows. I believe they have it set for three minute intervals, but I don't see how that is possible at all considering it spends nearly a minute at the top.
Very good timing! I'll be visiting the park next Tuesday for my first real trip of the year.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
This could be the 2nd year that when I randomly go, a new ride will have just opened (though later than expected) during that trip. In 2007, I just went on some weekend, and, to my surprise, Maverick was opened for the first time that day; that or they were just giving away "Maverick 1st Rider" t-shirts for the heck of it. I was worried that my only trip this year would be when Windseeker wasn't open. Good to see it could be open soon!
On second thought let's not go to Six Flags, 'tis a silly place.
Knotts is hoping for a mid-July opening and is having a first rider video contest.

I couldn't ride, since I had to work at 11pm, and the ride night started at 10:30pm (the line was crazy long, too). But everyone who I passed said it was really fun, and some even said slightly thrilling. I did watch it for a few cycles, though, and I must admit, now I really want to ride this. :)
2011 - Trash Crew
I just stopped by the park and there were some construction guys doing some work on the ride vehicle. Doesn't look to me like it will be open today but well see.
Maybe they maint. guys are fixing the lights on the bottom of one of the chairs that were out in the video. Gotta have 'em all working for at least the first month of operation - right? ;-)
Not really any new info other than to confirm what other people on here already said.

From my balcony at Breakers it looks like an inspector was given a slow ride up the outside of the tower and is now climbing down the inside. He appears to be with a construction worker. Hoping for a first ride tonight.
