What Is Next For The Point?

Hey, they replaced the boards on the boardwalk in front of the Golden Palace. Now that's excitment! I hope I didn't spill the beans, maybe Tony meant to announce that in a future blog. :)

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'm still hoping there's something more exciting to it, based on the last paragraph. But, I'm not holding too high a hope for it, especially considering that they're replacing track on Mean Streak in it's current layout. I guess that means no retracking. But, maybe we'll get something slightly more exciting than just maintenance.

Actually, that's exactly what it means.

Hello! The ride is perpetually retracked. We've been over this again and again. It's not all at once, but they're always replacing something on it, and they do so every year.

And remember... you could retrack the entire ride, remove the trims (insert lipstick/pig joke here) and the ride would still be boring and uninteresting. It's just a crappy design, start to finish, with the one possible exception of untrimmed airtime on the southwest hop along Perimeter Rd. after the mid-course (which no one ever feels because of the trimming).

Careful Jeff, that's common sense you're using. It might not go over too well...
