See the trend....and I like it :D
B&M's require little maintenance, reliable, and are VERY eye-catching. Almost all of these are among the most popular rides at each park.
Mr.K finally moved on to B&M. Intamin is just too much some-times.
I think a lot of parks in North Ameica have moved on from Intamin. There was one Intamin coaster last year and so far none this year. Lots of "somewhat" new manufacturers such as Zierer, Mack and Premier are making their way in.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Intamin is known for: Millennium Force, Kingda Ka, Volcano, Skyrush, El Toro. Not every park is willing to go soo extreme or expensive. Zierer, Mack & Premier aren't doing anything "ballsy" like Intamin. Which is an overall good thing. More parks go for Z/M/P type rides than all those giants Intamin produces.

Mack and premier have been around for some time. they are not doing bigger projects but still have been around. I know most people are pumped for a new B&M. i for one would take a Intamin over the B&m. Rather push the limits.
I completely (100% agree), from an enthusiasts standpoint. From a bushiness view: B&M's are more reliable and draw huge crowds---Intamins do the same, but less reliable. You might be able to do more with an Intamin, but will you get a noticeably larger crowd than with a B&M of a similar design?
What's the point of pushing the limits for a few gimmicky features, will spending that extra amount of cash pay off better than just going with a simple B&M design?
It seems parks today only go for Intamin for bragging rights, because they know Intamin WILL deliver on that promise.
