So with vertical construction starting already, do you think they are ahead, behind, or on schedule?
I think they are right around where they want to be but maybe a week behind because of Sandy? I'm just guessing though..

I think that they have a whole winter to get it done.

And that's why Cedar Point gets every ride done on time for the season opening ;)

I bet the ride itself will be up by the end of the year. Maybe a week or two into January.

According to Monty GK should be completed by the end of Feb. So far every timeline he talked about in the Q & A portion of the announcement has been accurate. So we shall see
I think Monty said vertical construction would start mid October so I would say they're behind but this hasn't been the most friendly Fall.

I'm sure trackwork will be completed by then. Everything else that goes into it won't be.

No, they said steel would arrive in mid-October and vertical construction would begin in early November. The steel wasn't arriving in mid-October. I doubt that affected them though.

Can you imagine if we have another March like this past March? It was 80 degrees for like 2 weeks. That ride would be so far done by then that it would need a new paint job by opening day.
God, I hope we don't have a March like that again this year. Apple and Cherry production took a big hit this year.

I'll take your word on that as I'm not very informed on apple and cherry production as I should be ;)
I just liked being out on the golf course mid-March
Don't get me wrong it was some great weather, but if you have anything to do with Agriculture in Michigan as I do, we all feared the frost that happened in April.

I was just thinking along the same lines as well. I think (just what i think) that It'll be all up before the end of the year, and the the winter season will be used to work on the entrance, station and area around gatekeeper.
I'm mostly talking out of my ass. I mean, I can't predict the weather. These rides tend to go up awfully fast, though. Presumably the electrical component of the ride is not time consuming like, say, Maverick, so there would be less pressure for that. I would think you'd want the steel erection done post-haste, so you can build the keyholes and not interfere with the front gate area.
