They simply could have just set up a camera on a tripod for a few hours.
Which is exactly what happened. :)
That Youtube link isn't working for me :(
Anyways, I'm glad to see that the stairs to Space Spiral's control room is being used for something.
EDIT: I found a link that worked in another thread
^^A friend in high places. ;)
Also, one thing to note about the lift (that some may not have noticed) is how the pieces are being assembled. They attach all the necessary pieces for the catwalk(s) on the ground where it's easier. So it looks like they spent today doing just that as well as assembling the next support. That's if this picture was taken today and not at the end of the day yesterday.

I believe that picture was taken yesterday. I could be wrong though. Either way, you seem to be correct about them assembling the catwalks on the ground.
Anyone know how many sections of track there are in the lift hill?
^ I'd say 4 "Vertical/straight" sections.
Anyone else notice how Disaster Transport's sing's supports are still there? First the Iron Dragon ornament and now this...Recycled Point! ;)

I feel like I missed something here. What are they using Space Spiral's control room for?
Shawn - based on Walt's link above, the space spiral control room is being used to hold a tri-pod and camera to take the "official" time lapse of a lift hill piece being installed.

Looking at that pic, it seems crazy that the park was originally considering keeping Space Spiral.

I agree dj....talk about crammed. Plus it would have blocked the view of the lift hill from over there!
Any guesses if we'll see part of the first loop constructed before they top the lift hill? With how the weave and cross under each other, I would think it would make sense to do a bit of both.

I think they'll wanna get the big supports in first. Btw it's not a loop, its an Immelmann.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Next support being lifted and placed now
