MF's overbank looks pretty painful all of a sudden... ;)

I think I can finally make ONE decision on this project... launched.

You mean you hadn't decided it was going to be red a long time ago?

Goodbye MrScott

John

...Well, besides decisions that everyone had already made (and were painfully obvious). Even though there are some that feel that "the track is red" is still pertinent, breaking-news information. ;)

Well, the track is red, the supports are brown/tan/khaki and the manufacturer is intamin is about all anyone here knows at this point.

This http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4460 looks like a lift hill to me.

Bow down, Bow down before the power of Santa, or be crushed, be crushed by----- his Jolly boots of Doom.

Coming Soon! Star Wars episode 7- The Fallen Hero
episode 8- The Republic in Crisis

Not steep enough.

And it looks like a launch to others.

And I think it looks like a new ad for Cingular, you know, the reception bars?

This ride is looking pretty interesting :)

-Eric

Just by looking at the track, I think it is safe to say that this will have OTSR.

Although I really hope not.

<Matt>
101 on Magnum and counting...

Those supports will not have track or more supports on them. airee85 is right they will just be left like that for a commercial.

Cingular wireless and national city bank in cooperation with funds from general electric present Maverick?!?!?!!?!?

I LOL when I read that.

Mikey

I wonder if this is a launch hill? It looks pretty steep.

http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4460

Isn't it too close to the other beams to be a break stretch?

I really hope it's a launch hill. It's strange how they're building this so fast. Vertical construction before the season is over? A friend of mine (who isn't on here) thinks that it's a totally new kind of system and they're building it fast so they can have more time testing it. That way, it wouldn't be down so much like the TTD was when it first opened.

Did the Wicked Twister have many problems when it first opened? I don't remember....

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

yeah the twister had problems and still does but they were not anything like dragster's old problems. It is to my understanding that wicked twister breaqks down frequently because of guests throwing objects off of the train after the safety barriers came up.

I hope ya'll know what I am talking about because I do not know the correct term for those things. They are like the sensors on automatic garage doors, if someone trys to run underneath it will stop when the laser beam is broken.

I got stuck on it a couple years ago because someone in the station tripped those sensors and it stopped us midcourse.

Light curtain.

Brandon

I agree with liitle leslie its a new kind of launch hill. I'm pretty sure this is a Robotic coaster like on Supercoasters did anyone else see that?

A robotic coaster?

Holy crap. Did I oversleep? What year is this?!?

They do exist (prototype), but Intamin doesn't make them nor do they run on a regular coaster layout. They run on a track layout similar to Kings Island's new Avator ride.

djDaemon, welcome to 2006! :)
