Is this slab for extra footers?

Forgive me if I'm new to the foundation part.

IDK, it was there today right next to that mysterious blue tarp thing. I never saw it there so Im guessin its new. But what would its purpose be? *** Edited 7/27/2006 2:53:00 AM UTC by BGRooDoG***

What in the world?!?

I tell you, every time I see something new going on, it gets more and more confusing.

Leslie: They are, indeed, pouring new footers.

We're FAR from the end of construction.

I don't claim to know much but I think BirdOfPrey00 is on to it. After rolling out of the old WWL station, I think we'll see a lift (these so-called A-Frame supports) with a diving turn towards the water.

See for yourself:

I think BirdOfPrey00 is also on the money by saying our brake run will run under the lift structure. Everything inbetween...well, appears to be that sidewinding low riding coaster track.

We'll just have to wait and see next May!

I really see what your saying and its certainly a reasonable idea. I do agree a diving turn over the water looks very likely, although I'm not seeing where WWL's station will be used as the station. After looking at that picture, it looks like the ride could have a lift then a diving turn over the water (plus a lot of sidewindin) then a launch part with more sidewindin. I do not think the current row of footers is a launch section, it looks much too steep. Looks like a brake run to me.

Wow. That certainly is an odd piece of track linked above. Something tells me though it will be used for the transfer track area. *** Edited 7/27/2006 2:55:39 AM UTC by Top Thrill 182***

Thrills Around the Corner!

That piece is something I personally have not ever seen before. Anyone else see it another coaster?

Its got a slight curve and its a Triangular piece... its hard to see in my photos, but in person its easier to see. So can we rule out a transfer track?

What the heck is that thing?????? Does ANYONE know?

Brice Milleson

I'm now starting to think this could be some kind of prototype water coaster(not aqua trax since accident and stuff) And if they themed it like how the aqua trax is themed but more to a frontier theme CP would hit the spot for kids and adult/teens. I really just want something fun to ride and something that is really theme and I like the idea of water.

Man that track is crazy! It could be some kind of track for a water feature but I really don't know. If we get more of em we can cut some ideas off.

What the heck??? I think thats a piece that has never been seen before. Very interesting... I tell you though. Every single time we think we might have an idea of whats goign on, some new mysterious thing shows up like the bike rack or this new looking track section and it just leaves us all baffled. They sure have done a good job of keeping a secret and confusing the heck out of people who really care.

Mechanical Engineer: Dont mess with us, we design your coasters.

Okay, I have to take a break from the construction updates, as I'm thinking so hard I'm getting headaches! ;)

But man, that new piece of track is really odd.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Hydraulic launches can only be done with box track for the brakes.

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. How many times do I have to say this before people will start to listen?

They do it that way because it is a convenient way to store all the parts for the brake fins, and have something to attach it to, but that doesn't mean it can only be done with box track.

Please, find my post in one of the last few pages where I even linked directly to the very first Intamin hydraulic launch that was using FLAT TRACK.

Look at that thing in the middle of the track, looks similar to what was posted above:

I believe this was also the coaster you were referring to Exit.

Not 100% the same, but what ever is?

edit: DBCP, I did beat you, but then I edited/reposted it with different wording and you beat me.

Either way, looks about right. *** Edited 7/27/2006 3:28:44 AM UTC by e x i t english***

Who seriously thinks this will have a hydraulic launch?

And why the hell would anyone use Flat Track for a hydraulic launch?

Yes, I think I edited my post about 4 times in 45 seconds.

And, yes. It does look close enough.
