I'm ready to agree that this will be a launch coaster. http://www.pointbuzz.com/gallery.aspx?i=4460
If you don't think so, compare that picture to what you see on TTD's launch.
That looks more like a magnetic brake run to me (like Xcelerator's http://www.rcdb.com/ig1574.htm?picture=15)
I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of people who will be happy and others who will be mad when this ride is announced. In the end of course (Opening Day), we'll all seem to like it.
The launch crowd, the lift hill/hyper crowd, and the aquatrax crowd. While some are more likely than others, I just hope it's a fun ride.

This thing gets more perplexing with every passing day.
Yea, but at least we know that this coaster will not hug the ground. So all of these pics are helping to confirm something.

I'm curious about the proximity to the ground of the speculated launch or brake supports. I feel like if they were brakes they would be higher up, because where they are now the station would have to be very low to the ground.
If you look at Xcelerator's brake section it is much higher off the ground than this. Whereas the launch section starts closer to the ground.
Just an idea.

I don't care what it is I just hope it acomidates everyone of size.
Knowing that it's an Intamin, it probably won't. I think it's safe to say if you experience problems on TTD, MF or WT, you'll have problems with P2007.
Sorry:(
this should answer you questions felix.

It really depends on what type of trains/restraints will be used. The OTSRs like on Kingda Ka or Storm Runner are much more "forgiving" than the Tbar restraints used on TTD. They're also not as confining as the OTSRs on Wicked Twister.
I guess, I was wrong. I was assuming, however that gmoney ment the track would be connected to this support, which, is not true. *** Edited 7/26/2006 5:25:52 AM UTC by Keith 2005***
I dont know if its going to be connected to track or not, but thanks for trying to call me out on that. Do you want a special prize for that? Whats the deal with certan people trying to prove other people wrong? So what if its not true. I can honestly see why some of the people who have been on here for a while just say its a "red Intamin". You can't even make a comment without someone saying your wrong!
Man, its just not that serious.........

CP Fanatic, that piece, to me, looks more like it'll connect to the ground on the "H" end and probably another A-frame. It looks like it has the connection for another support or track on the non "H" end, but we'll see.
Love it or Lump it.

Basicly....if the end of the support has a flange AND gussets (triangular wedges) around it, it will most likely attach to track. If it does not have these gussets, it will most likley attach to another piece of support.

I'm assuming supports with sections of I-beam attached to their "free" end will also attach to other supports?
Brandon
I think the I-beam is being placed into the footers, the footers had a piece of square foam placed in them when they were poured. That I-beam is placed in the hole left by the foam.

That area of strait supports that angle downward (or upward depending on the direction you're looking at it) HAVE to be for a brake run IMO. There's no other way around it that I can see. IF the station is where we all think it will be (the short even supports), then there isn't enough room in that area for the brake-run, station AND launch. Thus, that leaves me to believe even more that this is not a launcher, unless the launch is similar to Volcano where it is not attaced to the station, but I don't think that will be the case.
