I'm guessing the green means it was open, the blueish green indicates it was down due to weather.

Yeah, those dont count. The only patterns are Green for open, red for closed, aqua green for weather, aqua green/green for open half the day and closed to weather the other half, and red/green for open half the day and closed the other half.
P.S.-Is it just me or is T&T taking forever to post the Behind the Rides: Top Thrill Dragster!!?? *** Edited 6/5/2006 8:05:46 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

On Sunday May 7th it didn't open till 2 pm, and for the rest of the day it kept breaking down for 30 minutes after every 10-25 launches, so you might want to make it half green half red for that date. ;-)

If memory serves me right, TTD didnt open till the afternoon on Saturday, May 20...
Something was up with the catch car brakes yesterday... maintenance was up there working on it for awhile...
I think someone may have pictures of them working on it too ;)

ttdboy111, it has to be HALF the day. The park was open from 10-8 on the 7th and if it didnt open till 2 then thats only 4 hours out of a 10 hour day. It counts as running as it was open for the greater part of the day.
And Josh, you wouldnt happen to know what time in the afternoon. I cant mark it red with out knowing what time. Was it before, on or after 4pm?

It was before 4... Sorry I didn't know your criteria was just for the majority of the day.

That's the criteria for now, Josh. It could very well change again after the first 51% of-the-day breakdown occurs.

Dear God in Heaven, just let it alone. It's a complex system and they won't operate it if someone(s) could be hurt/killed.
That's why I won't wait in line for it. I've ridden it more than 10 times, anyway.

You dont ride it because you think you'll get killed on it?! And where did that come from??
IMO, I wont ride Matterhorn because they dont lock the restraints. THAT makes me feel unsafe.
No offence but that's rediculous. It's fine if you dont want to ride it, I cant change youre opinion, but I've never heard anyone say they wont ride it because they feel unsafe.
1900th post yay! 100 more to go!

I think MrScott was referring to the inherent downtime as his reasoning for not riding it more often.
This whole thing has gotten ridiculous.
So, if the ride closes for 5 hours, will the new definition for "significant" change again? *rollseyes*
Brandon
Ok, go ahead, but just clarify this for me. When you said "So, if the ride closes for 5 hours, will the new definition for "significant" change again?", even though I know you were being sarcastic, are you referring to my whole down for the greater part of the day thing? (4 hours being significant on a 10-10 day) Because that does change with the days of operation.
I'm just a little confused here by what you meant.

The funny thing about this entire thing is, by scrutinizing all the UP-time, you're actually giving all the naysayers a chance to rag on the DOWN-time.
If you just played it cool and said "You know, TTD has been running pretty well this year. I think everyone can agree on that." It has to be this way, and all the comments fly, and opinions are formed.
Just sayin' is all.
