If by "One problem arises and it's the worst coaster at the park."
You mean that one problem at least each week since it opened in 2003, than yes... worst coaster in the park.
EACH WEEK!!?? Since when during this season, so far, has it had problems each week?

Ahh, what a day. Wednesday had a lot of rain and really set back TTD opening all the way to about 2pm.
Single best thing I've seen all year, and it really shows how much CP wants TTD running. The ride was having god awful intervals and three mechanics were right next to the launch area watching each train launch and once and a while going up and pushing the trains forward a little. I wasn't to sure on the problem, but it was just a great example of how dedicated the mechanics are to have the ride run.
Later in the day, the crew and the ride were doing great. The sign said a hour wait and I got on and off in 45 minutes.

^You'll get a couple yeses to that question, but no more than that.
A better way to say it is, "Is it just me or is TTD is running better this year?" No one can disagree with that. :)

If you were to use the same yardstick to measure TTD's performance that is used with EVERY other coaster in the park, it would be quite valid to say that Dragster has had problems every single day of the season.
I have yet to hear a report regarding TTD's good performance that wasn't accompanied by some sort of condition, like "except for about 15 minutes of downtime every few hours".
And, yes, I know that Dragster is much more complex, and blah blah blah blah blah...

I was at the park on Tuesday, and we got in line around 9pm. It hadn't been running in very good intervals most of the evening, and then around 9:20 it fell apart. The TTD maintenance people had part of the pre-stage area torn apart, and as someone mentioned, the blue crane would be on its way around 11. We stayed in line until about 10:20, and there were only about a couple dozen people still waiting. The supervisor said she wanted to talk to all of us in winners circle....so we all crossed over the train, and down the stairs. She apologized and said that as a consolation, they were going to walk us in a single file line through the summer light show, over to the Millennium. A cop and a couple other higher-ups ushered us in through the exit ramp, and directly onto the platform for an immediate ride. All of us were thrilled, and from being a regular....I know that isn't an every day occurance. Even though I visit on a regular basis......I would like to sincerely thank the management and the supervisor (Katy) for handling the situation in a truly 1st class fashion. They won the respect of everyone in line....some of which were from Hawaii and Pennsylvania who are only able to come 1x a year. Once again, that was one of my best experiences at the point yet.
"Welcome back Gemini riders, how was that ride!?!?!" 28 years of excellence! (I am the guy in green & blue stripe shirt in my pic on TTD)
Thats sounds great, TTD doesn't look like it's running on the Cleveland Cam. Or maybe it is and I'm just blind.
New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
Yeah I'm looking at the FunCam thing, and TTD and all the other rides except MF are running good it looks like. Wonder whats wrong there.

What would you rather have, 15 minutes or 1 hour?
Now to me 15 minutes is nothing. BUT I know there's about a dozen or more people on here who would leave the queue if it broke down for even 5 minutes (givin that they would actually GET in line)!
Now PLEASE understand that I'm not saying that any kind of breakdown is a good thing. But you have to look at least, at least be thankful that it's nothing to do with the hydraulics, or the cable. Things that would cause it to be down for an extended period of time.
I always hear "Well there's better things to do then wait for a 17 second coaster ride." or "I waited in line for hours when I could have been riding other rides, Im soo mad!". Well my only answer for those people is "Well then why did you get in line in the first place!?". If you're waiting in line and it breaks down for more than an hour, get out of line! Dont wait through it and complain about it later, it's your fault. You should know that breakdowns are a possibility and that it's a very short ride. Set up a plan that (I know) some people on here have. Only go on it if the wait is less then 30minutes. Though I say good luck with that...seeing that that kind of wait is very VERY rare during the season.
Ok Im done now......So....how did it run yesturday? I was up north and thus was not able to mark it's operation down in my log. Thanks in advance.
P.S.-I dont know about today, but I've been watching the cleveland cam since 8:00 and it's launching every minute.

Since millennium force is down today, cedar point open TTD early instead, which i thought was a great thing to do!
OH man!!! I really wish I was there for that!! Im usually always there before 9:10.
How early did it open?
-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut
Once again, I'd rather have it open 97% of the time like other coasters than the 85% that is seems like. The GP doesnt care about new features, more advanced, blah blah blah when they hear it's down. Someone explain to me, why do I even read this thread, all it does is cause me pain?

You got lucky! I wish that they would have done that when we were there. MF (Maxair was down too) was down for our trip and it was 10:30 until they finished testing TTD.
Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless
Fastball, maybe deep down you like Dragster.;)
lol, seriously though, I understand wanting to have it running 97%, but if you know how complicated it is and the depth of it's technology, then you would and should know that a 100% or even 95% is very hard to accomplish if not impossible because it's not like other coasters, it's just not.....so accept it!
And yes the GP doesnt care about new features or about how advance it is. Why would they anyway? I think the last thing they care about when going to Cedar Point is how Dragster works.
If there's anything I want people to do more than anything is at least have an appreciation for it's complexity and accept that it cant run at 100% Im not saying to like it or to know how it works, I'm saying to have an understanding. Dont give me "It should run better than it is now" because whether you like it or not, it has been running much better than previous years. 87% is a hell of alot better than last years percentage (which was lower). Yes it's still to early to tell it's preformance of this year but so far it's a definate improvement.

lol I could just see that. You get into the train and their like "Before you ride you'll take a 2 hour course about the physics and hydraulics involved with TTD!"
