Not one bit of downtime.....nothing!!!!!There were small delays but they were mostly guest realated.
When did this downtime-free day occur?
Also, what exactly does "mostly guest related" mean? ;)
Brandon
I take the guest related delay are the stupid people who pull down the restraint before buckling their seatbelt or the people who just never seem to get the point, ARMS DOWN...ARMS DOWN...! :)
I'm still finding it funny that MF is playing TTD this year. It's almost like the MF said to TTD, "Well, since you won't break then I will!"
P.S. - I just realized that I was talking for a roller coaster. :)

When I went....Monday. I guess it was down a little bit sunday (one of my friends went sunday) but I dont think it was anything serious seeing that it was running like nothing happened.
I'll just say that Ive never seen it run like this.
All day baby!!:)

Actually, I should have emphasized the "mostly" part of my question. The downtime was either guest-related, or it wasn't.
As my high school geography teacher used to say, "You cannot be mostly pregnant."
Brandon
I love (and hate) those dumb people who are so clueless. I was in line in the station, next up and kept hearing 'ARMS DOWN.' I had never heard it before but I saw all of the crew staring at the train in position and I looked and saw this one guy with his arms straight up. They must have told him 4 times to put them down then the entire station was yelling at him. Then he put them up again! Some people......
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
People just like to hear the "Arms Down" repeated over and over again... I have seen several times where the crew finally just launches the train, even though the person still keeps waving their arms in the air...
Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004
What are ya gonna do? :)
Heck, yesturday, they were doing "Arms Down" from the time the train got into launch position till it launched! It must have been like 8 or 9 times!
People dont understand that all you have to do is stick your arms out in front of you if you want to have them up. You do that and the op cant see you and therefore wont play "Hands Down, Hands Down, Hands Down". ::rolls eyes::

Or keep your hands down until the launch and then put them up. Nothing they can really do once the train is going.
Goodbye MrScott
John
They could always e-stop make the launch stop, the train goes on, goes up the tower, rollsback and then they tell you keep your arms down and they relaunch you. That would be to bad.

Yeah, I think that process would be more trouble than its worth. And would have the consequence of many people putting their hands up on every launch, just to get a roll back and relaunch.
Goodbye MrScott
John
That was the point. :)

And the reason its not done. ;) Can't say I'd complain about it though. I've always though that getting a train of people all wearing those webbed swim gloves and putting their hands up on the launch would be an interesting experiment.

Top Thrill Dragster had downtime yesterday (Memorial Day)....it went down at about 9:45pm and was back up and running at approx. 10:13pm. It was my first ride ever on the Dragster. It was down due to mechnical reasons. Looks like they reset all the block brakes (backing up each of the trains) and tested the safety systems before restarting.
Millennium Force was down and had one test run at 8:13pm, and it looked very sluggish. MaxAir was down the whole day and SkyHawk was down in the monring due to non-coordination of the two swings.
It doesnt open till 10, how can you say it had downtime?
I was in line and yes it opened at 10:13. That was after they cycled all 6 trains twice (one set empty the other with an op) and after they put the fluorescent purple train on the transfer.
You were mistakin, it didnt have any ride related downtime yesturday. And maXair did run, just not all day. *** Edited 5/30/2006 8:54:51 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

Oh...haha....oops I didnt really pay attention to that.:P I guess the way he said it, it must have just been coincidence that it opened around the same time as in the morning. My mistake.
Though if it opened at 10:13, there must have been people in line that they wanted to cycle....because the park closed at 10.
But yeah I guess he could be right, seeing that I left the park at 7:30.:(
But it still ran like I've never seen before.

Please, if there is something that's inncorrect on there, tell me so I can fix it.

^You forgot to mention that counting today, TTD has had no full day breakdowns for 30 days. The park is open for a total of 146 days this season so we do some simple math (30/146=.205472). For all of you keeping score that's means we've gone through 20% or 1/5 of the entire season. In 2005, TTD didn't even make it through the first two weeks without a nice 3 days in a row breakdown.
But again, what really counts are the next 116 days and if the ride will hold out on us. Like my signature says, thank you CP for doing such a great job with the ride this season.

I go to CP on Memorial Day at about 10:30 so we saw it run all day. I've been there twice since then and it ran all day on both days. I must say that it's impressing me quite a bit.
On a side note, I was on the very last ride on Skyhawk before it broke down that day.
This year:
Maverick: 5
MF: 4
TTD: 2
Skyhawk: 5
