Things that need to go...

Im sorry t break it to you all, but Cedar Point does not have a space problem. There is still plenty of room, and i dont think the removal of rides is necessary for the expansion of the park in the future. Im sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news, but, ya gotta do what ya gotta do...

To me, space is still an issue in every amusement park. Rides will still be relocated and buildings will be razed.

They could always add land. I know that costs a lot of moeny considering it's a lake.

If you get those lights too close to the towers you can blind people. Just putting a lamp there beside Witches Wheel exit should fix it, and be more cost efficient.

There is a light by the Witches' Wheel exit. Not a bright one though.

If you angle the lights right, a in towards the tower and not towards the track, since it's the tower that needs lit, there should be no problem with travelling the tower. Even so if there were a light in the wrong direction, you would pass through it in just a split second. Not hardly long enough. You spend more time looking at the lights, on Wicked Twister on the back spike than you would on Dragster. WT lights are basically the exact same lights.

This question is directed more toward people with small children that they bring to the park ... What is your opinion of Peanuts' Playground? Do you actually spend any time there with your children when you visit, or do you ignore it in favor of Kiddy Kingdom and Camp Snoopy? Do you love it, or would you even notice if it disappeared?

If you had kids you would understand one very important thing that CP still seems to understand....

Kids CANNOT take constant stimuli that rides provides. They get worked up, overheated, tired quicker, etc...They use up fuel quickly like a rocketship.....Peanuts Playground, Petting Zoo, etc allow places where the stimuli is lower and more reserved - gives both parents & kids a chance to "recharge" as it were....Now you can say there are benches along the midway, etc, etc...But that doesnt work with kids....they see action they want a part of it - they arent really in tune enough with their bodies to know when they need a break....They will literally go and go until they drop.....so a "quieter" place is a better spot to rest and recharge....

I agree Frontierman. I have made 2 trips to CP for a total of 6 days. Every time I have passed Peanut's Playground it was about full. This year our first trip will be for a week and we are taking our 2yr old daughter. The Grandparents health wont let them keep up with a 2yr old for a week.

I will be seeing a side of CP I haven't seen yet.

An 800+ mile trip with a 2year old...HELP.

1. I could really do without the Wildcat, it would be a fun little starter coaster, but it has become a little outdated and really doesn't offer the quality of ride that I recognize with Cedar Point. That entire area needs to be redeveloped, I myself don't like the laser screen, I love to look at Millenium Force and the trees around it. To bad the kiddies like the lights so much at night, it's more of a hastle than a treat. Especially since they rush you along the side in smoke.

2. I could do without White Water Landing for something much bigger. I don't even want to walk to Mean Streak though I love how rough it is. But the walk towards it is so boring, great looking buildings but since they sit there still, the space could be used for rides that I love, like Giant Husses.

3. There is one car ride to many and sometimes, these cadillac cars do fulfill little children's fantiasies of driving, but anymore than one is a waste of space. I say theme one real nice and sell the other one or transfer it to another park. Though I love the location of the one near the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, it offers more space. Though the less scenic one under Raptor offers little space but seems to be less attrative of a ride.

Well obviously you wouldn't know a good roller coaster if it hit you in the face. It may be small and may be pretty ugly, but WildCat is one hell of a ride. It is a Schwarzkopf masterpiece.

You should go somewhere else if you don't like Wildcat. Don't be ragging on my ride like that.

Eddy the retard is awesome.

Yeah, Wildcat may look weak but it has a nice kick to it with it's sharp turns and sudden drops.
I always used to poo-poo the idea of riding Wildcat untill 2 years ago when passing it by, I decided, "heck, I'll try it out and at least get another coaster under my belt even if it is a kiddie coaster". Boy was I wrong! Not only was I under the false impression that it was a kiddie coaster, but that it was also a timid one. I was totally laughin my butt off the entire ride. In fact, it's the only ride at CP that I actually laugh like that on, for everything else, I put on my intense coaster face. :) I personally don't care much for the colors but hey, I don't own the place, I don't make the choices for coaster colors, and regardless of it's color it's still a great ride!

Last year my friends wanted to skipWildcat, but they only went on it because it was their first time to the park and wanted to try and get on all of the coasters. However, I think that little ride gave them quite a surprise because we ended up riding it six more times that trip.

The Wildcat rules! Don't rag on it. It's definitely a quality ride, and I hope Cedar Point keeps it around forever, even if its in a different location.

Does anyone else here like Disaster Transport? It's a nice break from the long lines on a hot day.

Yeah, I've always liked DT, I wish they would put some more money into that building and get some more animatronics and more decorations and such, then that building would be cool.

I would miss waiting in line for Disaster Transport, it's a really nice cool off and it the dark makes me somewhat relaxed after squinting in the sun all day. But Disaster Transport is a lovely ride, just because it's in the dark, it could be better, but I wouldn't take it out quite yet.

khommy84...you want WildCat taken out, but not Disaster Transport? i guess thats why you aren't Richard Kinzel
The only the thing I can think of that really should go are two of the miniature car rides.

I don't know if its possible due to the engineering of each ride, but why not combine all 3 car rides into one gigantic car ride.....mix up all the cars on one track and make just one huge track for everyone to ride on
