STR Still Opening This Weekend?

No, anger leads to hate, not sadness.

Goodbye MrScott

John

When the Indians lost in 2007, were you more angry or sad? I know I was sad.

When a ride doesn't open on time twice, are you more angry or sad? I know I am angry.

Usually, being angry comes from having personal investment in something. If you were personally invested in this ride opening TOMORROW (as in, any day not tomorrow is akin to a disaster), then you're doing it wrong.

It's just a damn ride!

Brandon

Well there will be, oh, 10,000+ people there tomorrow expecting to ride the new ride, who will be heavily angry. Can't say I blame them.

djDaemon's avatar

LMAO! I sincerely doubt that.

Brandon

What, the number or the facts on the ground?

I have seen 3 commercials on prime time TV for Cedar Point with nothing but 30 seconds about shooting the rapids on the new ride, this week. I'm 100% sure, even if it is posted on the blog soon, a lot of people are going to be inquiring about the new ride tomorrow.

I had people asking me were Demon Drop was yesterday... do you really think that the general public is that concerned about Shoot the Rapids? Sure the pass holders and fans are concerned, but most people have no idea that Shoot the Rapids even exists.

Lol....

This is funny as hell.

We don't even know for a fact yet that the ride is going to be delayed yet. Untill I hear it from cedar point themselfs, I am not going to assume anything.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Then that is the fault of the park for it's advertising schemes.

Really? I thought it was supposed to open 13 days ago?

It was.

But they announced that it was going to open late. There has been no official announcement about another delay yet.

I'd also like to point out that the time is 11:52 AM on May 28th... They will announce a further delay when they know 100% sure that it will not open. They have the entire day to announce a delay so hold your horses.

Don't worry guys! Soak City will be open tomorrow!

What a joke. The PR department needs to kick it into gear here. Or I see a Frankenstein-like scene soon.

Both. Sure, there may be 10,000 people there, but few, if any, are going to have the type of tantrums we're seeing here. :)

I think, with it being 81 degrees tomorrow, and 85 degrees Sunday, that the forecast (get it, forecaset, like the weather?! :)) for people wondering about the new water ride may be a little high.

If people don't know about the new ride, what a waste of $10.5M

Tomorrow and Sunday are going to be the hottest days of the year so far. 88* would sure be nice to ride a new ride in... ;)

Lmao....

Can we frame that last post?

My vote for funniest post of the year has just been cast.

Well, I for one am furious. How dare Cedar Point keep delaying like this? Millions of peoples' lives are hanging in the balance. Here they've discovered a medical miracle, a cure-all for cancer that will end this disease as we know it, forever. Yet they dither and digress as the weeks pass and people die.

What's that? Cedar Point has in fact not cured cancer? It's only an amusement park ride?

Um, never mind..... ;)

We can't be a little upset (save the disappointed v. angry debate) the ride has been delayed 14 days, and may get further delayed? Why?

And my post was a joke, really, you didn't catch that?
