STR Still Opening This Weekend?

I think it's very bigoted of them to do such a thing. BP isn't deleting negative wall posts.

Because thats actually harming the environment and that is a Nat Disaster. Can't really cover that up or put a positive spin on that one. STR not opening = just making Enthusiast mad.

Good try on trying to compare those but not really.

I am really pissed at the people who run that Facebook, be it Tony, or whoever. If someone posts something negative, whoosh, it's gone. Learn how to run it properly guys.

I do run the Facebook page - the "fan" Facebook page. Nobody is more upset than we are when there are any delays in opening a ride to the public. And you're more than welcome to make criticisms and comments. But the negative tone and language will not be tolerated on our fan page. Several comments were deleted, not just yours.

We know guests are not happy that it's not opening. But we need to complete our procedures before anyone can ride. All we're asking is for a little patience. It will open soon.

All I ask is fair treatment. I only saw my posts being deleted, so I assumed you had it in for me.

I had a post up there stating it won't be open - and that got deleted.... Nothing more negative than that.... however you deleted it.... Not to ethical if you ask me...

To further clarify, I love the park. I knew my way around the park before I even went for the first time.

It just seems... redundant... to keep buying rides from Intamin when they break down constantly, or don't open on time.

Please, for everyone's sake, get a B&M.

And yours (and others) was deleted because it was not official information from the park. Our official announcement came late this afternoon, not this morning.

EvilChameleon09, you really need to take a break from posting, if only to save yourself from further embarrassment. The other people in this thread who took the "I'm mad" stance eventually went on with their regularly scheduled lives.

In the 10 years this site has been around, I'm not sure we've had so many manic, over-the-top posts from one person in one thread. Let me recap some of the highlights:

If they get another Intamin anything for 2011, everybody at Cedar Fair and Cedar Point needs to be fired. From Dick all the way down to the sweeps.

if they don't tell people it's not opening tomorrow, they can be sued for false advertising.

I should go to the park tomorrow and when STR isn't open, sue the park for false advertising because I was told it was opening May 29th

Then they announce it would open on the 29th, tomorrow, and if it's not, and no delay is announced, expect thousands of lawsuits.

The Red Cross is a shady organization anyway … There are better charities that should be doing this first rider thing.

Well there will be, oh, 10,000+ people there tomorrow expecting to ride the new ride, who will be heavily angry.

I see a Frankenstein-like scene soon.

I'm telling you, refunds and lawsuits will be galore tomorrow.

I think it's very bigoted of them to do such a thing.

I only saw my posts being deleted, so I assumed you had it in for me.

But here's the kicker:

I'm not really mad for myself, because hopefully when I go in July it's open.

You've been hysterical all day, but it turns out your next visit is several weeks away?

I made it to the beginning of page 5 of this thread before I remembered why I don't look at Pointbuzz very often anymore.

Come on, Ben. You're not going to be one those people who confuse a couple of unreasonable posters with the entire site, are you?

Now, as I send this thread to thread heaven, I wish you all a happy and stress free holiday weekend! :)
