From what I have seen CP has nothing to worry about at least right now busniess wise.I went there last season full of hope and wanting to have a great time and wanting to return. But alas that was not to be The employees were rude there was garabage all over the park and the sea life park had really gone downhill. Now I know SF:WOA is still new so I will give them that but what I saw with the employees there is no exscuse for that or all the garbage.I am willing however to give SF:WOA a second chance but that won't be for a few years.Untill then I sincerely wish they clean up their act(no pun intended) and I do think they can become the really great park they have to potential to become.Just like Cedar Point is now.And so ends my novel.

Matt2003, that was a joke about the booty thing. LOL! ;)
Anyhoo, I just now saw the commercial, and I felt like slapping that crazy woman! LOL! ;)

I saw that commerical last night, and I couldn't believe my ears. I bet SFWoA is heavily mad that CP built WT, but still a national company, like Six Flags, saying stuff like that. That's just obserd.

"2Hostyl brought up the point that more Cedar Point fans buy SF passes than SF fans buying CP passes. That's true, but I think there's a different way to look at that.

The reason, then, that a lot of people buy SF passes is because, for one, they're much cheaper than the CP ones, and secondly, they're more flexible. Both chains allow admission to all of their sibling parks with one park's pass, but Six Flags has about three times the parks Cedar Fair does. I live in Illinois and bought a very overpriced ($82) SFGAm pass, not only for SFGAm, but for when I go to Ohio, or California, or wherever else I'm going to be.

You can look at it anyway you wish. But in the context of crashoverride (aka zero cool's :)) SF v. CP battle I would *think* that the only way you could determine a *winner* is by who is selling tickets/passes what have you. I merely contend that more CP fans "crossover" and buy SF passes than vice versa.
As to your second point, it seems to me then that you feel that Cedar Fair passes are terrible value. You admit that SF passes offer more than CF passes. And you claim that an SFGAm pass is "overpriced" at $82. Since a CP pass is $99, they must really be ripping people off in your opinion huh?
BTW: Aside from all of you so-called enthusiasts, I've never known people to visit amusement parks more than once *maybe* twice a year. And certainly not just on a spur of the moment.

You may not know people but with thousands of passes sold every year at various parks, I doubt they're all enthusiasts.

I never got the chance to see the commercial yet. I've been in Kentucky all week for Spring Break. I did see an add for Kentucky Kingdom, however. The add said that they have, "seven legendary coasters." I don't really consider that kiddie coaster of theirs "legendary."

Cedar Point, the cure for the Summertime blues!
At work the other day I was doing some "deep thinking" about this ad and began to realize how self-defeating it is to SFWoA's cause. The ad it self is not all that bad and somewhat convincing until that broad says "...better than Cedar Point". That women cuts in near the end of the ad causing anyone with any knowledge of both parks and some common sense to think more of Cedar Point than SFWoA once the commercial is over. Just look at the two threads that all of us CP enthusiasts have going over this.

And what an incredible coincidence that her reason is exactly the park's marketing slogan! Wow!

Jeff has a good point there.I myself have not seen either commercials but I do not care too I think that CP has too much tact and professionalism to saying anything negative about their competition. In their advertisements.
