I've had a terrible expierence at SF: WoA with me and my friends. My mom works at the Cleveland Clinic and they hold a picnic their every summer for thier employees. Well, when I went last summer, the placve was pakced, so I decided it would be worth my money to go ahead and buy a fast pass. I was excited about riding the new X-Flight coaster so I went to the ride on that specific time that it had on the placerd. We finally wait in line, and i'm thinking to myself that ten minutes in line and were going to be off on the ride. After all, you paid ten bucks for the pass. Well, the rider before us (some fat lady from Cleveland with the ghetto voice) decided that it would be alright to set her sandals down in front of her before the start of the ride. So, you guessed it, her sandals fell off the ride and she was ticked! She sat their screaming at the top of her lungs certain profanities (F*** you six flags, it's your fault you lost my F*** Sandals). So everyone's booing her and she's refusing to get off until someon eget's her sandals. Finally, after 40 minutes of waiting to get on the ride, they finally let new people on. After the ride, I realized that while waiting in line, I could no longer use my Fast Past. So I just expected that maybe they would give me an extra pass to go back on. WRONG!!!! I went to the guest service area of the park and they said, "Well, certain things happen that is not in our control and we would not be able to give you an extra pass. Keep in mind, they gave an extra pass to someone who lost theirs (these people were just ahead of me in line) I was pissed, I explained to them that I rode in a car all the was from Altoona, PA (I was staying with my aunt on vacation at the time) and that I rode all this way not just to sit in Line. And she kept saying sorry, we cannot do that. So when I got back home in Avon, OH, I wrote a letter to the corporate headquarters of Six Flags. NO RESPONSE! I could not believe it! I go to CP all the time and I would and have never gotten service like I did at Six Flags. The people at SF are RUDE, ARROGANT, and NOT HELPFUL!!!!

That's another Reason that Cleveland Clinc shouldn't have their Pinic At SFWOA They Should Do it at CEDAR POINT. Six Flags Management Doesn't care from the Top so why should they care at the bottom they just want Guest Money and then Take them for suckers at least at Cedar Point they do care

Yeah, I honestly think the management at Cedar Point is one of the nicest and most caring management team I have ever seen and worked under for any company. So, I salute them and I'm looking forward to working for them again this summer. :)

Fear the Mullet!

No, Cleveland Clinic should do their picnic at Six Flags at Geauga Lake. Or any place else they want, so long as they stay the heck away from Cedar Point! Have you ever been to Geauga Lake on a Cleveland Clinic picnic day? I have. By Noon, the midways were shoulder to shoulder. You cannot begin to imagine the size of that particular picnic. I considered myself fortunate to have ridden the coasters early...I got in the car and drove over to Cedar Point where it was far less crowded!

Yeah but the midways there are pretty small! SFWOA is usually crowded that much anyway!

Coming from someone who has been to SF:WOA.I had not too great an experiance.Their Impulse was broke all day,A majority of the employyees were rude and there was a lot of garbage lying all around on the ground,Not to mention the sea life park looked unkempt at best.They did not measure and did not properly ceck the lap bars which if I was on a flyer I would want my restrainits checked.Now i did hear they were improving this season but untill I hear anything I am not going to wast my time or money on that place.Now this is completley my opinion and experiance so if anyone is angered by this post do not take it as a bash on sf:woa becasue it is not.

Wow, you mean rude employees & trash everywhere & p*** poor service and incompetent ride operation doesn't just happen at Six Flags America? I wrote a complaint letter citing these things, sent it to SFA, and I got in return an apology letter and 2 half-off passes. Maybe if they were free tickets I would have used them, but I couldn't really be bothered to find the time to get back there, even though SFA is less than an hour away ahahahaha. Really, they should have been free passes, 100% no cost.

Six Flags: Would you like that super-sized?

Dude chill,SF:WOA is the only SF park I have been to so far I would like to visit some of the other parks now i ma sure that not all SF parks are maintained this way and heck even WOA may improve but untill then.What I posted is NOT my overall opinion of that park chain.

I've been at SFWOA and SFGAM in chicago! I don't see much difference in the state of the parks. However it may have changed but I wasn't to pleased with either park! Is Wyandot lake by the Columbus Zoo owned by SF? I thought I saw something about a sister park of SF in Columbus!

~~~~~~~~Jesus-Freak~~~~~
Yeah Wyandot Lake, Darien Lake, and Geauga Lake were all sister parks owned by the same sompany (forgot it's name) and Six Flags bought the company.
They were owned by Premier Parks before Six Flags bought them.
No no no... Geauga Lake was owned by Funtime, which also owned Darien and Wyandot Lakes. Premier Parks had some time prior to that purchased Six Flags parks from Time-Warner. I forget when, but Premier bought the Funtime parks and left them with their original names for a few years. When Geauga Lake became "Six Flags Ohio," it had already been under Permier control for years. A year or two ago, Premier Parks (who uses the stock ticker symbol PKS) officially changed their name to Six Flags, Inc.
That's where I was confused. I knew they were owned by Funtime but I throught Premier bought them and then Six Flags bought Premier. My bad!
OH my god! I just saw the Six Flags commercial with my own eyes and I absolutely cannot believe it! THAT'S INSANE! They now (don't know if this is a new development or not) mention Cedar Point by name TWICE in the commercial. The last time, is of course, the lady you've all been talking about, but earlier in the commercial there is another woman who says "We actually drove by Cedar Point to get here!" MY LORD! Then, right after that woman, there are two men who are comparing SF to CP, but they don't come right out and say the name. One of them says that "Six Flags is better because it's more spread out." I forget what the other guy says. To me, this is absolutely unbelievable. I'm stunned.....just stunned...
I live in Toledo, so I can't see the SF commercials, but I think they will only harm themselvs with this direct attack. I think they realize that WT was (at least a little bit) a direct attack against their Superman, and now they're playing dirty. Today my history teacher said he was skipping CP this year and heading to SF because he'd never been there. I told him that he wasn't missing much and mentioned the park's reputation. Needless to say, he's planing on sticking with CP.
They show them on the Toledo stations too. I caught them last year..
I'm sure we'll see them again this year.
Spread out? Ha! They must not have ever been down the main midway between the entrance and Raging Wolf Kabobs. That's the biggest gang bang I've ever been in.
I agree that the more they mention Cedar Point, the more harm they do themselves. When their ad ends, you're thinking about Cedar Point. When CP ads air, you're thinking about Cedar Point.
Do the math, then fire your ad agency.
I couldn't agree more Jeff. :) Why mention your competitors name 50 times more than your own unless you are wishing for the financial demise of yourself. A slight exageration yes, but true.
