Hey I Like the Barons! There better than the Storm!Anyway, they are advertising in Toledo I just saw the ad. The point that they are trying to get to is the variety. They use peoples opinions on the subject that SFWOA is better than CP because of the waterpark and animal park. However I think the GP will go and decide its not! I also am suprised that the animal park will make it, since CP (a little) and King's Island had animals in their park and it didn't work. However I think Hershey park has an animal park, I don't know if its seperate or like a two way thing, with park guests and just zoo visitors going!.

CP is a great park. SF was a good park at one time and it still has potential, the problem lies in their management and their employees. The service stinks. Their pricing stinks. Their park/ride maintenance is horrible. By ride maintenance I am not implying unsafe, they just look dirty with torn/worn padding, etc.
You must also remember that television is a very powerful medium. Do not give people too much credit for being able to make their own decisions. A lot of people will see something on tv and think it is the gospel.
Just look at the influence Jerry Springer has on society.
Very good point but with that I ask this:How Self-Depreciating was it to have that woman make the statement"Six Flags Worlds Of Adventure Is Better Than Cedar Point?"

I just saw the commercial for the first time. I wasn't watching the TV but I turned around when I heard "Cedar Point" Of course it was in the sentence, "We drove PAST Cedar Point to get here!" Bahhhh...
But you see, this is what they've always hoped for...that metro Detroiters would pay them a visit. And they would have to drive past CP to get there.
Was the woman in question wearing any obvious 'Michigan' colors? Navy blue? Maize? Spartan green?
Better question...what sort of admission discounts are they offering in the Michigan area? Does anyone know?

Are they even marketing to Detroit? Three hours is a healthy drive, and it's the only thing that keeps me from going to PKI more.

I just saw the ad for the first time. The 6 Flags empire has reached a new low with that mudslinging campaign. I went there in 2000 and they only had 3 coasters worth riding-- and all of them were put in that year. The park was dirty and the other rides were glorified whiplash machines.
But as they say, any publicity is good publicity. You know you're good when people have to say they're better than you like that.
My friend saw it yesterday. He's not what you would call a CP fan, but even he said he couldn't stand it. He said it seemed very immature for a business like SF to be making grade school comments like that. He said that if anything, it made him want to go to CP, or at least stay away from SF.

"Hey I forgot to mention another thing about the SFWoA Adventure pass I noticed. If upgraded for the $30 you can bring a friend for free any day (it says May-July, Aug-Oct which makes no sense) you want an unlimited amount of times as opposed to the 2 or 3 days with just the regular pass.Bring a friend for free everyday? Hey, why even bother with the POP admission anymore.. It could be a zoo there everyday with no revenue from single admission. "
You've got it all wrong my friend. What they give you is ONE (maybe TWO) "anyday" coupons good for anyday in May-july and another ONE (or maybe TWO) "anyday" coupons good Aug-Oct. You cant just bring somebody anytime you want, as many times as you want. You can bring someone on any day, but you only have limited opportunities to do so.
This is an upgrade from the regular *bring a friend* coupons that have restrictions like "only M-F during July" or some other such nonsense.
Does Cedar Point even have a bring a friend free program?
