^ Yes!!!! Jason... Tony... You listening? I love the howl at the end of the teaser video. Hopefully that gets included. Would also be cool to have swampy creature-like frog/cricket noises coming from the woods. Mantis obliterated the lagoon feel of the area. The second half is built over plain dirt. Hopefully they add more foliage to this area to make it feel more "swampy".I know this sounds crazy, but does anyone else keep watching the ride animation videos over and over again? It's almost like I've never been on the ride and I'm looking at the whole thing as an entirely new coaster. My wife is over my obsession.

You are clear and outta here
I don't know that it's practical to add sound dampening after the fact. The supports are engineered to support a certain load (a dynamic one at that), and adding sand to the spine would add significant weight.
Interestingly enough, the sand for Intamin rides is in the supports and added on-site, whereas for the B&M's it's in the track spine and put there at the factory. Not sure if they add it to the supports... I didn't think to ask on my visit to the fabricator.

I think that it will run much quieter and do not remember Dominator at GL ever being that loud. This is going to be a huge overhaul and not just slapping some paint and different trains on. There must have been some crazy calculations done to make sure the new trains would be able to complete the course. I am hoping for some Banshee type theming and an awesome station with some sort of gothic look and feel.
I wonder if the old stand-up trains have any trade-in value.

Or, Cedar Fair could keep them for parts for their own B&M stand-ups.. See Vortex at Carowinds or California's Great America.
