Don't see it mentioned but did anyone else look at the picture and notice what was NOT painted in it? They have painted all around the trim brakes but skipped that specific section of track. Maybe they are coming out?

It's certainly possible. On the other hand, it might not be the best idea for painters to be painting on or around the brakes of a coaster which is still in operation on the weekends.

I still don't understand why they are painting now. It won't look new when 2015 rolls around.

I doubt they are using paint from Big Lots...

September weather in Ohio is much better than in April or May..... Especially for painting

Yes, because GK looks absolutely awful this year.

Sure, the paint might not be perfectly crisp, but really? It's only going to be in operation for another 10 days or so. Sure, winter could beat it up a bit, but it's only one off-season. Not only that, but a new coaster would be power-coated around now (see Fury 325, Thunderbird). Are you going to tell me on their opening days that they will look bad because they weren't painted just before opening?

I just painted my deck this week, and it will look perfect next year at this time.

Even if you come over and dance on it.

Every night.

Jeepers Creepers. It will look fantastic. They're not using one coat of Great Value spray paint.

Promoter of fog.

I would not be so sure about that. Your deck will look all faded and worn by October 19th. If not sooner.

Question. Was Tony joking when he said Rougarou will have 40 trim brakes on it? I found this on Twitter.

Tony is an expert in the usage of sarcasm to respond to 1: far-fetched rumors and 2: things he is not at liberty to discuss.

In what world is 40 trim brakes NOT a joke?

Seriously man, come on. How could you take that seriously? ;)

The world where all forty trim brakes are operator-controlled and installed on the ascend side of Top Thrill Dragster's tophat such that a rollback can be manually induced. Obvi. ;)

^^Adam It's been a long day between work and School. I think I left my brain in math class for the night. :) By the way Adam, why did you take your signature down?

"Ahhh the trim on the first quadrant of the loop is on!"

:kicker wheels:

"Noooo...the trim at the top of the loop is on!"

:kicker wheels:

"YESSS!!! Third quadrant is OFF this morning!" ... ;)

^^Personal reasons.

I still feel like there's more to the transformation. Yeah they could have announced Mantis is changing to Rougarou and still begun painting already. But they could still leave the coaster running til the end of the season with the entire thing painted...I say they're adding more track to it. *fingers crossed for more inversions! (heartline roll specifically)*

So you're saying the release of multiple POV renderings was a diversion? Cedar Fair only went to the extent of drafting a fake Centurion logo as a diversion for Fury 325 at Carowinds.. Not sure they would put that much time and money into renderings that were inaccurate.
