Project 2007 Blog Update

This is so damn close even if its not that I can taste the ride! lol It tastes like cherry red Intamin with hints of butterscotch tan!

Im sorry... you are all right... and I am wrong... those footers clearly are for a freefall tower...

I bet CP is just so angry that we have them figured out...

;)

How the hell does it work? I'm soooooo confused!!!!

I don't even believe that a prototype has been built...

IF for some reason CP would be doing this, it would be a very risky decision, and I simply do not see one ounce of evidence that there is a possibility of this type of coaster, or any evidence that Intamin is even entitled to build that type of coaster...

I don't know if this is right or not it is just amazing how well the freefall coaster fits into place. Besides the design for the tower could have been changed so it utilizes smaller footers and supports.

Mr. Stengel may have designed this coaster type... but do we even know if Intamin is currently manufacturing them? Wouldn't there be something on their website about it?

I think everyone is WAY ahead of themselves on this one...

Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004

lol yes we are, but who is to say that they aren't going to wait until this ride is done to announce that they make this type, who knows that they haven't built a prototype yet? Just my thoughts is all...

How the hell does it work? I'm soooooo confused!!!!

The coaster train goes up a vetical lift, attaches to the top piece, which then spins either 90 or 180 degrees to send the train down a different course bacwards. Once it completes that course it goes up another vertical lift on the same tower and repeats itself going down another couse forwards agian.

That patent information is very old news. In fact, that was flying around when they began building TTD. I may even still have a copy of it somewhere.

I don't see it as a possibility at all

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

And when exactly was the TTD patent "flying around"?

I'll see your "little" and raise you a "boat load!"

I dont believe Intamin builds that coaster. Mr. Stengal works with A LOT of other companies. I believe that particular design is for Gerstlauer.

The one in RTC3 isn't made by Intamin, but It just makes so much sense.

"We're changing gears" It just fits right in the picture!

This must be it, one of those 2 layouts almost exactly matches the footer layout of the actual site. I think you have figured it out. Just because the ride isnt on Intamins website doesent mean they cant make it, maybe they have built a minature prototype.

This ride also does go woth all the sayings, especially put 2 and 2 together

Doesent S&S make a ride similar to this?

The Heide Park coaster is VERY interesting, and I would say would have to go to the top of the list of speculation on what the new CP coaster will be.

Looks to be a variation of the Intamin Aquatrax technology, with Hummer like vehicles instead of the boat vehicles.

To keep with the western theme, maybe CP will have stage coach themed vehicles? Or the theme could be a wild western river, with raft themed vehicles and water effects.

Something to think about.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

You know what, people: I'm just glad that it's a roller coaster!

The only catch to me, which has been mentioned before, is the twists in some of the track. The degree of some of the twists seem to indicate more of a traditional train-like vehicle with separate cars that allow more flexibility to maneuver, aside from the very bulky and inflexible aquatrax type vehicle.

Which layout are u referring to, because i just don't see it fitting...

I think the Aquatrax vehicle design can negotiate more extreme transitions than you think Kevin. It all depends how much articulation is designed into the axle.

Look at this picture of the Aquatrax at Lotte World. Notice that the transition out of the turn over the water looks a lot like some of the CP track we have seen.
