I talked to a seagull today who's brother is already in line for Project 2007 (see webcam if you dont believe me)He told me that this was going to be the worlds first quad coaster. The trains will have four sides and will ride on different sides of the train throughout the ride. once on your right side, once on left, once right-side up and once upside down.
*edit* Oops, forgot the ;)

This could very well fit in with the drop tower/coaster concept which was discussed earlier in the patent application.
but i don't really think he was serious...but yea ironically that sounds like a freefall coaster
There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force

how do u know it wont happen? why does everybody think that the coaster is confined to the area under construction now?they cant do the rest of it because its in areas of the park with paths and people nearby, so they cant do work there yet.
why is it so horribly impossible?
Because the entire premise of what you stated was a publicly held company spending tens of millions of dollars to satisfy one mans ego. And I dont think that he would do something like that. That man himself NEVER stated he was "going out with a bang" but like someone said it is almost like an urban legend. Will the Point ever build a 500' coaster? Pobably. Just not this time.

Supposedly Mr. Kinzel told the Register a few years ago that he would build something that would "Outdo Top Thrill Dragster". I don't have a link or anything, and I don't believe it. Just saying where it started.

Common sense thats how.
Here is just one reason (Of many) that we wont see a 500 footer.
Take a look at TTD supports for its hill. Or take a look at the launch area for TTD. Maybe look at the length of MF's lift hill.
If they were to build a 500 footer then there would need to be a much longer area of straight footers and bigger supports. I don't believe that this coaster will go out of it's "Area" but I will not argue that because it is just an opinion.
We all ready know where the station will be and most are pretty sure that it will be a launch. I am sorry to throw out your idea, but it's just not possible. Those people who told you were messing with you and it seems that it worked.

101 on Magnum and counting...

has anyone check the picture of millly island there is dirt being move there .If you dont believe me then go and find the pictures at point piexels. In 3 of the pictures it did show about 3 constuction sticks with flags on it.

Yeah, those are pretty much a recap... they were there at the end of last season as well. The one thing that is newer, is some of the land clearing, and the red flag near the graveyard.

TommyTom, just because you saw sticks with flags on it on Millennium Force Island doesn't mean we'll see the worlds Tallest coaster. Plus they haven't poured any footers in that area, so I wouldn't get too excited yet.
Huh? He didnt say anything about it being the worlds tallest coaster. He just asked if anyone saw the pics.

Thank you tommytom! besides, you gys are all mirconstruing my words. the bartender was the one who told me it was in honor of kinzel, he wanted to go out with a bang, and that it would cover the whole park. the foreman's friend said it would be a 525 coaster. (btw i was calling it a giga coaster because it is the same style as millenniun, now i know it should be called a teracoaster).
and lastly, i doubt the lift hill will be in the current construction zone, so thats why you havent seen the footers. i believe it will be a launch into tight turns and stuff in that area, then it will leave and go up the hill into the rest of the park.
The "out with a bang" myth is quickly becoming bigger than "Magnum is sinking." Maybe we should do another t-shirt.
You do realize it is illegal to smoke that, right?
*edit* obviously my comment was not directed at Walt.

Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point

Gullible isn't in the dictionary either.

There is no answer as to what 500+ foot would or should be called.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. A chain lift to such a height would take a REALLY long time. If a cable lift were to be used, the train would have to be brought to a stop at the bottom of the hill so that the cable could engage. That would destroy the whole flow of the ride. The only plausible extension of the construction zone would be into the Antique Cars. It is certainly not going to go sprawling across the rest of the park.
And you didn't need to create a whole new screen name because you mis-spelled the first one.

Goodbye MrScott
John
Wouldn't that foreman be taking a chance of lossing his job or the contract to build if he let out the "BIG" secret as to the truth of Maverick ? I bet if you call the main office of the constrution company and ask them about it, the reply will be " NO COMMENT "
Yes he would be risking it. But he would also be risking his companies ability to get future contracts with Cedar Fair, which now includes all the major amusement parks in Ohio. Plus, the industry is pretty tight knit, so if Cedar Fair won't hire them because they can't keep their mouths shut, there's a pretty good chance no one else will either. That's called getting yourself pretty much blacklisted from the construction industry as a foreman.
Then again, the foreman in charge of the cement crew has no need to know what the overall project is. He just needs a layout showing what size footers to pour where and to what depth. They don't know as much as some kids hope they would.
Goodbye MrScott
John
How many different stories have we all heard from different people of the whole peninsula?? I think they've been told to say some crazy stuff to the people who ask them. Makes sense to me...
