Project 2007 Blog Update

You can easily see over the wall back there. I don't think it was to keep eyes from seeing the land.

I figure the wall was put there, not to keep people from seeing the area, but rather to help keep the area look a little more pleasant, and possibly to help cut down on the dust a little bit.

And to keep construction stuff in and people out.

Mostly the dust, I'm sure.

its hilarious how the same things keep getting discussed over and over again in the two threads here. the construction wall was talked about in detail in the other thread - or maybe even this one already!!!

i thought that paint job of maverick was hysterical - in a good way!! i loved the drawing of the tornado and cow too. i printed it out and put it on the wall over my desk at work. :)

I think the wall was constructed so that the construction workers couldn't just jump the fence and go ride rides for free.

I know if I were working there I'd hurdle that split rail fence and run screaming through the park...oh wait...that was me on opening day. Sorry, had a flashback for a second.

I'm looking forward to going back there and seeing the construction, I don't think it'll change majorly in the next week...

I'll get some pictures.

You know....in 2004 some random person who did not list their credentials posted that in 2005 PKI would indeed be receiving the Italian Job Stunt Track in 2005. He was denied and ridiculed many times, but as we all know, he was completely correct. I can't help but read all possible posts in remembrance of this last instance...

Coaster Count: 147

Tony, Tyler and Josh, that has a nice ring!

There are holes in the wall to look through in at least three different places, just like Josh suggests.

Hmmm... CP does read this site.... Now where is my call offering me a full-time Marketing Position?... I have a degree to back it up... ;)

Who would want to hang out with Tony all day? ;)

Just kidding, of course.

Hey, whoever would, they should try to get him drunk and get all the information out.

Based on a picture I have come across, I can now assume the Launch will be above the Brake run...

The Switchbacks w/ turn over the Swan Boat pond will be the first element... I think.

There could be two launch sections...

I'm thinking that area will be a overbank turn similar to the island overbank turns on Millennium Force. It would be a little more steeper then the ones on the island but maybe it would be a new sharper turn for a overbank on a coaster.

I thought the Launch/ Brake run idea thingy because those footers are Square and there is a line of Circle ones in the middle... could be anything, I'm sticking with that.

It's undeniable that a Switchback w/ turn will be over the water there, the placement of the footers just wont make me believe it's anything but that.

So... What are they going to theme it to? A barn?

All of those footers could be for track/station/service track as well too. Not to mention a possible station fly-by ala Thunderhead at Dollywood.

I think this ride will use WWL old station, Because if it's an AquaTrax then it can and probably will have a curved station.

Atlantis Adventure has one...

Hey...I've been a bigtime lurker here for a couple of years, but never posted. Thanks to everyone for having a vastly superior coaster knowledge than I as it makes for an interesting read.

Anyway...didn't see anyone mention this (sorry if it has been), but the Aquatrax has seats that you straddle right? I think a jetski was the example. Well wouldn't that be very much like sitting on a horse? Maybe the theming will be saddles for seats to go with the whole Maverick/Wild West thing. Like many of you, if it is Aquatrax, I would selfishly wish it was a mega looping, strataaquatrax, but I guess that's not very realistic or family-oriented...so whatever, my two cents.

Cheers!

That has been brought up, I think it's a good observation and further backs up the Aquatrax Idea.

I wanna bring up the fact(again) that just because it has 'Aqua' in the name, dosen't mean it has to be water themed...

Does anyone know what this coaster will most lkely be?I wouldn't mind a flier or somthin of that sort.

Sorry to rehash the saddle/horse thing.

One other thing...I totally understand the argument for not having to break records every time out, but I think it would be strange that Kinzel's legendary big bang he's supposed to go out on would be anything less than a record breaker of some sort....considering that's one of the things that has defined him through the years.

Of course, I guess they could easily have the world's tallest, fastest Aquatrax model (water or no water) by just being bigger than the one in China.
