Paint Job

That's not burned or anything, that's just oil/grease and water from the catchcar system. Nothing wrong with that. It's just very unfortunate that it happened to be on a white section of track.

e x i t english is right. Even if they replaced that section of track, it will look like it does now by the end of the season. It probably would have looked a little better on a red section but oh well. Doesn't decrease from the ride experience.

Just CP some time to get MF painted. I might not look like it did in 2000. BUt it still looks fine.

It's actually the Nylon liner from the catchcar groove, I think.

Well looking at pictures of MF from construction back in 2000 to now, I think it could use a new paint job in the enxt year or two. Too bad I didn't get to see MF's construction in 2000 because if yuo asked me what Cedar Point was, I wouldn't be able to tell you up until last Septemeber

Not really. At that time I only knew about the coasters around me ie. Kings Dominion, Hersheypark, SFA, and Busch Gardens. Until last March when we were in Disney World, this guy who was there from Michigan we were talking to told us that we should go to Cedar Point for some real coasters. I personally thought Disney sucks, as I want the world's best thrill rides, not the world's best theming. So I started to study about the Point and started to plan a trip for this May and we went the weekend right before Memorial Day and the last day we were there was the first day MF opened back up.

My dad has been wanting to go there since he saw this show about MF. I wanted to go there since I went to Hershey a year ago and finally rode a roller coaster. I don't know why I waited so long.

I didn't know what a roller coaster was till the 7th grade. My parents never took my to amusements parks because my old brothers hated them. And my parents really didn't like them.

My first trip to CP, the only amusement park I've been to so I'm slightly biased, a couple of years ago at the end of my 6th grade year. Before that I really didn't know just how cool something like these coasters could be. The only thrill I'd had was riding around in a Jaguar X-type :)

That needs more than a paint job. It needs rebanked. Badly.

Millennium Force is a good ride weather it is, painted or non painted.(for me in that case) But yes it could use a paint job and it will get it some day. Also who cares about the parking lot, I go to the park to ride the roller coasters and rides and yes have a fair clean park. But I dont care where the car goes and if its on nice painted cement. Just my opinion.

Somewhat related. I'm sure you all remember how bad Mantis looked pre-2003, it hasn't faded yet and it still looks great.

Check out the new Mantis desktop in Extrapoint, it makes it look brand new. It's a beautiful background, I've been using it since they put it up.

Me too. It's my brother's favorite ride besides MF and I like it too. It looks really good when you don't stretch it or get the same exact dimension and you put in a yellow background.

CoasterLine, that is the worst possible example of maintaining paint on a coaster. Wonder how many different colors you can count in that one photo.

It should be noted that the park was shut down in 1999 due to an earthquake.

I think it'd be great if they painted MF, but I won't really worry about it too much unless I have to dodge trees while riding...
