I'm sure the ride manufacturer does not make the paint, so it would be the paint manufacturer they use or tell the park to use.
Since B & M is 2 guys who worked for Intamin, they might use the same brand of paint.

I agree the manufacturer doesn't MAKE the paint, though they are the ones to choose who does initially, they get a color spec, order it, slap it on, and watch it fade over the years while its up to the park to deal with it next time around ...contracting with a company to paint it.
My feelings of cedar point have been been changing over the last couple of years, from a clean park with awesome rides, to just a park with awesome rides with so-so cleanliness. Cleanliness being the overal asthetic value of the park, which has been dropping lately...especially with mille looking as depressing as it has and Dragster looking pale yellow. Landscaping is great, but more can be done with paint!
I can't understand how you can include the paint jobs on the ride as part of your evaluation of park cleanliness.
Paint fades no matter what you do. It took 2 years to paint Magnum. There is no way it would ever be feasible for the park to continuously keep the colors vibrant as if they were painted yesterday.
For the record, I have never seen a piece of trash stay in one spot for long. Infact, the only time I see trash in the park is when I throw something away. I remember waiting in line for Raptor watching some poor girl use a steamer to scrape gum off the concrete in the line.
"This park is so unclean... that parking lot line is faded..."

I think it is when you get to the point where SFMM is that you start to notice that kind of stuff. MF is no where close to that point.

Some of you have never been to some other parks obviously, CP is still one of the cleaner parks, but paint has an enormous astethic effect which can add/degrade cleanliness... Try going to DelGrossos park, not a piece of paint missing- water park is spotless as well (I used to inspect water parks/pools for the health dept).
It might be easy for smaller parks to always be spotless, but CP is huge and the ride's are huge (much bigger than a water slide for sure).
Walt Disney World and Disneyland even sees its share of fading and that's Disney.
CP is in good shape, give them some time and MF will be bright blue again and TTD will be bright red.

Craig is right; for as big as the park is and as many visitors as they entertain, they do very well. You have to think that there's a lot to do and clean... After all, it takes 6 weeks just to remove the gum from coaster queue lines and platforms.

im sorry./..but it is the sad truth :( if we keep letting this plague known as the'UPD'(UN-PAINTING DISEASE)wreak havoc on our rides, this is the future...god help you all.
This is what a coaster looks like when it needs a paintjob... and a lot of TLC
Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004
wow, i will never complain about a CP coaster's paint job again..unless it looks like that.
Question Regarding Paint....
Did Millennium Force have a reflective additive to the silver paint to make the lighting more vibrant??? If anyone knows for sure, please do a friend, and fellow MF fan a favor and inform me Thanks!!!

Screamster Crew 02' And returning 2006 }:-)
Millenium was just built six years ago and yes it may need a paint job, but come on, it is not horrible. It can last another couple years with no new paint for sure. Let's cut CP some slack! They do a really good job making sure the park does not look rundown.
Here's a picture of a brand spankin new support.

It doesn't look all that reflective.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
cedar point looks great! yes, it is noticable about some of the paint, but that doesn't take away from anyone's visit! top thrill dragster should have that burned looking section where the catchcar is pulled from (near the speed sign and such. it actually made my friend's not go on it when we went to physics day. plus, it looks really bad.
