Outside the bar = 1.5" less.

I thought yesterday that looking at Millennium Force, it seemed that all the belts were routed to the inside of the bar, which I thought was a change. Am I incorrect?

Jeff Young

They were indeed inside the bar, which may explain why the buckle was easier to reach.

On my way to americas roller-coast.... *** Edited 5/18/2006 8:48:56 AM UTC by Eleazar721***

Good Luck Josh!

Ok since you are all proabbly wondering how it went I will post a blurb relating to millenium force and post a full trip report either tommarow or sunday...

Got to Milli around 10.30Am went to the test seat... Got the belt around me buckled with the half-inch of slack that they require.

Wait in line once for milli and cant get it buckled in a timely fashion so i go back put my sweater in a locker. Go to wait a second time and still cannot ride. I hate to post it here but millis crew sucked today and I am not to happy about it. Compared to the crew of 2004 these guys need some serious work done.. The crew of 2004 was much more helpful and made sure I rode...

I did go to park operations and did complain.. They took my name down and when i go back in august I am going to have my own ERT on any ride that I want... Top Thrill anyone... Oh by the way I fit TTD but could not ride due to weather malfunctions... (More in my trip report.)

So needless to say I will be talking to park operations in the coming days to make sure everything is set for my next trip down..

So here we go again with the updates and I will keep you posted on my progress... I am stiking more to it now then I was before because when I go at the end of the summer I want there to be no doubt that I am going to be able to ride the 2 most important rides there...

My next trip is scheduled for....

August 1st -- 74 Days till Attempt #2 for 2006 and then next year investing in a seasons pass.... *** Edited 5/19/2006 3:11:52 AM UTC by Eleazar721***

I've found this years crew to be very helpful in making sure guests get a chance to ride. Unfortunately, they cannot actually buckle the belt or pull the slack for you due to rules set forth by management.

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune, though. I also sent you a PM, so check your private messages. :)

Yeah brother, it was the same with me. Fit in both test seats, rode TTD but no Millie. Last year rode Millie 1 time and thank you to the woman that saw me fit in the seat, she saw me having trouble buckling my seat on Millie, helped me buck my belt and rode with NO sack. Now THATS a person who understands that all belts are not the same to the test seat.

I also did complain when I went on the 13th and I was told that ALL seats even the test seat was going to be checked. Well I guess not, looks like they are taking their sweet @$$ time in doing so. Just think about all this started just cuz a ride op was not doing their job on checking to see if the rider was safe.

I did everything myself though.. All they had to do was guide the belt in for me... I just found that the team from milli on the day that I went could not be bothered to take the time to make sure a rider fit. I mean what upset me the most was is that I took the time to make sure that I fit the test seat before waiting in line and even left the line the first time as to not hold up a train from launching.. And then waited a SECOND time just to ride but still could not...

Oh well here is hoping for August 1st and a better trip....
73 days to go.....

I didn't know you had problems with Raptor and Magnum. ;)

Sorry about your problems with ops. I had problems getting mine buckled, it kept catching on my jeans pocket. The op helped me get it buckled and then i just had to pull the slack and I was good to go. My biggest problem is not being able to see what I'm doing, and the ops have always been helpful.

One of the biggest problems we had in 2004 (the first year of all of this) was different crew members handling situations differently. For one ride, a ride host would hold the buckle steady for the guest... the next ride, another ride host would refuse to help at all. This was a cause of great frustration for many guests. It was addressed, and Im sure Mike is doing all he can to curb that this year as well.

I'm off to the Point now for the weekend, so I'm anxious to see how everything is going!

Actually now that you mention it I did have a slight problem with raptor but got to ride anyways... Also next time I go to the park I have a ERT waiting for me for any ride in the park so that will be nice....

Get yourself checked for a thyroid disorder just incase. I found out that is what is wrong with me. I am 5'8" and 245 lbs. I did the low carb thing for a while and got down to 200 but I have gained it all back again. I play ice hockey two times a week, walk the dogs a lot, and drink only diet pop and LOTS of water, but I still gain. Nothing seems to stop it unless I control my diet VERY strictly. The low carb really worked, and I lost 20 lbs the first two weeks and continued to keep it all off until I went back to my old diet of too many potatoes (my weakness.) Honestly, I felt better on that diet then I do right now. But meat gets expensive to eat nearly every meal, and I am allergic to eggs.

I tend to think of myself as more of a sumo wrestler, really stong but really really fat. Last season I barely fit into Millie and I bet this year I won't fit at all with the extra 50 I put on. I wish you luck in getting the weight off and keeping it off. It's really hard to do but it's very possible. Lifting weights will really help as someone else also suggested. If you can find a fun sport that will help too. Not only will you play in the games, you will want to practice to get better!
