I am glad that you got it taken care of. But I agree that if it was not being taken care of then you have the right to go up the ladder. You might have jumped the gun a little bit (I don't know what the time frame was) or maybe your call to Kinzel's office is what got Wozniak to respond. We don't know. But good luck on your next trip.

Ya I really can not wait untill my next visit in order to see if I am going to fit... I am now at 310 where I was at on my last visit so if i can keep steady or even lose some I should be good to go... Heres to hoping my visit next time is better. I spent half my visit last time in lines for rides that I could not ride...
Along with this oversized issue, of people not fitting into the rides. On the coasters, I think CP should look into redesigning one of the trains atleast so that they can fix guest that happen to be larger. That way, if they don't fit in the normal train, they can wait untill the redesigned one came by to ride. I know people are going to say that this would cost money and it's a big issue. But I feel that these guests are getting hosed because of their size. I think moving the lap restraints up, instead of having them on the floor would hold in larger people, as well as guest of other sizes. I just have to imagen that there is some way cedar point could stop this whole argument over one off season.
They could but they won't at other parks they have trains with big rider cars but cedar point will not do it and I do not ever think they will do it ....
Really, what other parks have bigger rider cars? I am not trying to be snarky I am genially curious. I am 6'5" and right around 290 so I do have some trouble fitting on rides. As of last year the back and front rows of Milli were the only ones I could fit in, if I tried for the middle I could not get the belt to buckle.
So if there are parks out there that have actually tried to do something to accommodates large riders, rather than try to shoot us down, I would love to know where.

Hey. The problem is is that if they did do that would that have encouraged you to lose the weight?
reflecting on that i believe that because us great Americans are so lazy and stuff that i dont think its necessary for them to do it. dont get me wrong, i have a family friend that loves coasters and that cannot fit on them, but that is his fault. the only real reason would be if you had a disease or sometype of thing like that. Americans need to become less lazy
on another note
try running and stuff at least 3-5 times a week, i dont know what you are doing now but try maybe enrolling in an aerobics class maybe, just a thought, i mean it sounds girly and stuff but thats what they had my football team do, it is a cardio work out.
I have been trying but been unsuccefull due to other things in my life but for the next four weeks untill my visit to the park I am going to be doing things diffrently... Keep ya posted...
It depends on how motivated you are. The more over weight a person is, the easier it can come off at the begining of a diet.
If you go on a strict diet for the entire month. And exersize at least 3 times a week, I would not be suprised if could lose 15 pounds or more. When I joined weight watches, I started at 275. I lost an average of 3-4 pounds a week for the first month and a half or so. After 1 month I weighed 260, after 2 I weighed 248.
In regards to ride redesign. I think that is a bit much to ask. Where do you draw the line. Do you make rides bigger for tall or heavy people? what about Little people? Or for that matter could you have more trim breaks on the rides so that people with heart conditions can ride too? I know that sounds rediculous, but look at what they did to Mission: Space. IMO, I think that people should use the motivation of wanting to go on these rides as motivation for getting in better shape. That was my goal anyway. And it sounds like it is Eleazar721's as well.
What finaly put me over the edge was I began having fainting spells and getting out of breath just walking up a flight of steps. My motto now is, "Eat to Live" not "Live to Eat." Don't get me wrong, I love food. I enjoy myself at partys and ACE event's, but that's it. Every other day is strictly business. It's not easy, but who ever said life was supossed to bve easy?
<begin edit>
For those who are curious, I started my diet in January of 2004 and by January of 2005 I was down to 180. For my prefered diet, that weight was not really maintainable. I ended up gaining about 20 back, but have been around 200 for over a year now.
95 pounds / 52 weeks comes to an average of just under 2 pounds a week, but like I said, it came off quicker in the begining and slowly tapered off as the year progressed. As I approached my goal weight, The last 10 pounds took 3 months to get off.
The slower you lose the weight, the less likely you are to gain it back. The time gives you body's metabolism adjust to the new lifestyle. After ending a quick fad diet, one often ends up gaining back more than they lost.

I assume Josh is talking about the "Big Boy" seats on several B&M coasters. The ones I know of off the top of my head are Dueling Dragon and Hulk at Islands of Adventure, and Dominator at Geauga Lake. I don't know of any other manufacturers that offer different seats for larger people. For some reason, Cedar Point has never seen the need to retrofit Raptor and add a couple of these seats.

The closest I believe Intamin comes to it are the two different buckles on Wicked Twister.

By the way an update on the weight loss I started at 320 and I am now down to 305 and this has only been after two months of striving to lose weight.. I have been exercising more reguarly and also trying to eat healthier...
Is there a way to lose weight off your tummy? I have been doing curls and bench presses and I can feel it working there should i just keep doing that.?
Yeah, it's going to take you awhile to lose weight. I've been losing it very slowly but surely too. It just takes awhile.
It took me 16 months to lose 107 pounds. Just keep at it and you'll reach your goal. DRINK A LOT OF WATER and stop eating before you want to (your stomach will catch up and you'll feel full later).
Healthy Choice frozen food also came in handy. And if you need a fast food fix, get a Whopper Jr--instead of a Whopper. Or go to Arby's and get a roast beef. Stay away from fries. Mickey D's is also something I avoided, although they seem to have added more healthy choices since I decided to drop the weight. More fruits and veggies are a good bet, too. A little Velveeta cheese on those veggies didn't hurt me, either... ;)
My peak weight was 280. Currently at 183, up from 167 (which was TOO low).
I hope this helps you in your quest!

PS: Ben is right. You didn't put the weight on in a month and there is NO WAY you are going to take it off in a month. It REQUIRES a lifestyle change.

Cardio.
Also, the Pitt Fall (not a coaster I know) at kennywood has some seats that are larger.

You may recall I was on the same quest as you were, see page one if not. Although I did not lose the weight, I maintained right around 225-235. On June 2, 2006, I went to Cedar Point for a fun day. Alas, Millennium Force was still down. Not to disappoint myself, I didn't even try the test seat.
Around 6, my dad and I noticed a train rip over the hill as we were walking towards Mantis. Seeing the line at one and a half hours, I was weary to even try the test seat. But... I had to. Sitting down, I got it buckled and pulled. Hard. The guy at the entrance of MF looked and told me I could ride. Whoa, farther than last year.
I had a choice to make. Either wait and try to do it, possibly failing, or not and not be disappointed. I rode Mantis and ate at Coasters thinking over this choice, and eventually decided to do it.
40 minutes later (fast line!), I was in the MF station talking to random people waiting for the front row. I was really nervous that I wasn't going to fit and be denied (saw two people be denied while waiting). Rick, the guy I was waiting with, told me fear makes you bloated. I don't know if that's true, but I stopped being nervous.
Just as we were about to get in the train, the ride op told us that there were "technical difficulties" but it wouldn't be long. Turns out someone either wet themselves or got sick on the train we were going to get on! It cheered me up at bit and made me laugh. I felt better and confident when I was ready to try.
The yellow train pulled up and it was time. Rick got in first, I was on the right side. I got the buckle about 2 cm from closing. The only thing that went through my head at that moment was a word with the same meaning as "Crap" but stronger. I sucked it in and eventually got it clicked. However, slack was a problem. Then I had the nicest ride-op in the world helped me. He readjusted the belt around me then told me to pull again. Sure enough, I GOT THE SLACK!
I must say, Millennium Force just topped to my favorite coaster. I now need to lose even more weight so it's not close. But moral of the story? Just keep trying. You'll get on eventually.
And by the way, whoever the ride-op with the mic working around 9 on Friday, June 2, thank you. You made it possible for me to ride MF, and I feel like I owe you one. Thank you!

Edit: I so cannot spell correctly today. Let us try this again.

Thank you for the words of encouragement nesdude... I am still on the quest and will attempt to ride again here in 12 days... While I have only lost a couple more pounds I have a ERT and hopefully will not be kicked off the train....
Couple questions in regard to the ERT .....
1.) Should I still ask to test the test seat before walking up the back of the ride ??
2.) When I go for dragster would it be irresponsiable for me to ask to have front seat seeing as it is my first time riding and when I ride coasters for the first time I now go for front seat ??
I just do not want to be seen as a person to take advantage of a situation that happend but I really wanted my first dragster ride to be a front seat one ......
No that is not unreasonable after I am getting a walk on...
That is fine by me...
I know that some around here think that i was a jerk for even calling managment on it but i felt as if there had been a wrong done and wanted it rectified... I am reasonable and hope that my visit does not cause other people suffering or annoyance....
Any suggestion on whether or not I should ask to test out the test seat...
