My milly ride attempt will be at 2pm on friday the 26th of may. After I ride milli I will go to dragster... This is all estimated at this point seeing as it is two months away and I have no idea of knowing whether or not I will be able to make it to milli at that point...

Avatar must be a .gif and not larger than 5k at 90x90 pixels. Your account has been updated.

I tried them both and this is the error message that I recived....

The reason that I need one is the fact that it was the very first roller coaster that I ever rode and as such holds a special place in my heart... *** Edited 4/10/2006 1:18:42 PM UTC by Eleazar721***

Hmmm... That's odd. The first image is 87x88 and 4339 bytes, while the second is 89x89 and 4317 bytes, so both of them should work. I too have had problems with "correct" avatars in the past, however.

Perhaps Walt and/or Jeff can help?

310 Pounds !!!! WooHoot !!

I plan on going to our local penninusla here in erie tommarow and biking for a while to get some exercise... My exersice has kinda dwindled because the weather out here is real crappy of late rain and rain and more rain.... Oh Well... Talk to you guys later...

40 Days till I go to the point woohoo !!

Josh, keep up the good work. I know how it feels to be big and its hard one you can't ride a coaster. I started out at 320 and now I am at 285. I am going to Cedar Point in July and I want to ride Millennium Force & Top Thrill Dragster. My goal weight is to be 250 by July, I am half way there.

Good Luck

As someone who once weighed in at 280 (now a slim 178), good luck! You CAN DO IT!

Well time for another update...

Kinda broke the rules this weekend binged... Opps.... Have had a tummy ache the last two days so have not eaten that much.... Oh Well....

36 days till i go to ride dragster and milli.....

Whats weird is now i can smell cedar point.. I know it sounds weird but i do. I smell the popcorn on the midway and just the general atmosphere of cedar point whenever i am outside...

Its Coming .......

Hey guys another update and a couple questions :)

22 days left till my big adventure down to the point....

Weight is now 308.

Planning on riding around 2pm if anyone wants to be down there to cheer me on...

Now the questions :
1.) How are the harness on MaxAir and Skyhawk ? Do bigger people have trouble fitting in them or are they like Power Tower and anyone can ride within reason ??

2.) When the park opens on saturday if it is not too much trouble can one of you be so kind as to actually measure the length of the belt. I want to use my car seatbelt as kinda sorta test to see if I am going to be able to fit into milli before i even get there :)

I want to again thank you all for all of your support and I hope to see you at Cedar Point on May 26th.

Hey Eleazar, couldn't tell you about the restraints on Skyhawk because obviously, I haven't ridden it yet. The restraints on Maxair, however, are pretty accomodating. If you can ride Power Tower, you shouldn't have any trouble with Maxair. Good luck on riding the Force. I'm rooting for ya.

The seats on skyhawk make you it kind of weird, and people like me who are fat might have trouble with it. They're pretty forgiving, but the gut gets in the way more with those restraints.

I also used to be overweight and also was partially inspired by Cedar Point to get in shape.

Back in 1999 I was 18 and hit my peak weight of 320 pounds (I'm 6'2). That summer, for the first time, I was too large to ride Raptor.

Now, 7 years later, I'm in the 220 range and I haven't had a problem fitting on any rides since.

Granted, CP wasn't my sole inspiration for weight loss, but it was my first real "wake up call." I'm actually a little bigger than I was a year ago, and I probably still need to drop 10-20 pounds of fat, but overall I'm far healthier.

#1 thing was NO NON-DIET SODA!
#2 thing was NO McDONALD'S or BURGER KING!
#3 thing was minor exercise, such as parking farther away (like you) and never using elevators.

Those three things alone got me to about where I am now. I really have to put effort into getting in great shape, though.

Anyway, good luck! You'll be better off for it!

BIG NEWS !!

Changed the date that I am going I am now attending Cedar Point on May 18th. More info as of now that is when I am going hope to see you around the point...

Really quick question before I start a thread about some certain pictures that I would like...

Does anyone have a picture of the following.....

1.) Pictures of the belts on ttd or milli ???

2.) Pictures of the test seat on milli or ttd... Found one of milli's but have yet to find one of TTD ??? *** Edited 5/7/2006 10:03:06 PM UTC by Eleazar721***

TTD: 1
MF: 2

2007: Millennium Force, 2008: Millennium Force ATL, 2009: Top Thrill Dragster

The only thing about that pic of the TTD test seat is that it was pre-05 when the belt was still routed inside the bar. Now the belt is outside that bar which doesn't sound like a big deal, but it does make some difference. Probably an inch and a half or so.
