No 2005 Coaster?

You have to be in the right seat to get a little spray in the face, on Tomb Raider.

I'm curious what's the best seat on that? I'm still yet to ride it.

Anyway we need to get back to what Cedar Point should get in 2005. Does anybody have any new rumors, maybe they've seen construction going on, maybe they've done something the Antique cars in the back? Someone bring in some rumors.

Believe me if there was any construction goin on you would definatly know about it.

Let me say that I think will get two new flat rides for the 05' season a Huss topspin much like RipTide will be going in at the site of the old pirate ride and a Huss giant frisbee will be going in at the location of teh old swan boats.

there is also a possibility for a new kiddie coaster in Kiddie Kingdom or Camp Snoopy

I would be very happy with a Giant Frisbee, an additional Top Spin would be wonderful. I don't place much faith in rumors, but adding one or two of those rides to CP is a perfect way to improve the park.

I'd still like to think that Cedar Point would want to compete next year and maybe build that rumored Floorless/Flier. If not in 2005 I would love seeing them come around in 2006. Since Six Flags is probably going to beat Top Thrill Dragster, you would think that CP has something rolled up they're sleeves. Either way I agree with you guys. You know what Cedar Point could really install, would be like an action Simulator. That would be kind of neat. Kind of like what PKI has.

I actually think a virtual coaster sim would be neat. One that actually moved around and stuff. It could have any elemental features they wanted, and wouldn't take much room. Obviously this wouldn't be near as exciting as a real coaster, but it would be cool. It would also give people who were afraid of coasters or became sick on them a chance to see what it's like. I think it'd be a great family ride and a great additions to CP.

CP still has plenty of time to start building a new attraction. Wicked Twister didn't start untill very late in the season. I thinking a flat ride in place of Calypso or the old Pirate Ride building. The Main Midway hasn't had anything new since Raptor. Doesn't seem that long but it really is, 10 years.

I think it is either huss or S&S but they have a new flat that is like a pirate ship of steriods. Take a look at one of their sites and you'll find it. I think it is S&S though.

Personally i don't like flat rides. I do want to know what is so good about them. I have just never seen much in them.

Here's what I think are so good about flat rides:

They don't take up very much room, and can be very fun for a lot of people. Flat rides also can vary a lot. They can be a full-out puker for those intense riders, or it can be a nice suttle ride the whole family can enjoy. Flat rides are a must have for any park, and I think an addition of one, or two, to CP would be great.

We need to think about the back of the park more than the main midway. We just added Dounut Time and as Popular as Raptor is why would you need to add anything? The reason I say the back is because its dead back there most of the time. How often do you see Mean Streak with a full queue? Rarely!! Once in a while, but they need to put something back there. If its a flat in that area, it would help. If its a coaster whether is a floorless/flier it will really bring people back there.

I believe you are thinking of a Huss Frisbee. It's a large disk with seats around the outside. The disk spins and also swings back and forth like a pendulum. I think it's a very fun ride.

I think that cedar point should get two slat rides for next year, obviously a giant frisbee, but i also wouldn't mind seeing a ride like Aero 360 at Kennywood.

I think they should move Calypso over by Troika and place a Giant Topspin there. That sort of plays along with the whole Boardwalk theme. Maybe even re-do the whole "Blue Streak circle" area. I'm not diggin' the big cement blob. Maybe a fountain or something along those lines might add a little zest to that area.

Imo, the only decent spin and spew rides at cp is chaos and witches wheel.

I think that if cp were to add a new flat ride, it should be a delirium style ride not like the one at dorney park.

The version that is at dorney park is a bore. You face inwords, not out and the ride is not very exciting.

I agree, top spins are not very exciting rides.

I heard the idea of Dueling Flyers. I think that would be cool, but dueling floorless would be amazing!!!! Sure it would be EXTREMELY expensive, but it would have one hell of a response.
