Three things could make it different:
1. Tops 200ft.
2. Does not go upside down, but rather has overbanked turns, more hills, hugs the ground in spots
3. How about floorless trains similar to 'Face Off" at PKI...where you ride forward and face other people who are riding backwards.
Granted, pointless to talk about, but I just don't want to see coasters at CP that I can get at other parks close by. I see no point at all in adding a B&M Floorless coaster when GL has a great one. Now if we are talking the world's first Seizmic floorless, we might have something.
In comparison, why would GL add a B&M inverted or stand-up to compete with Raptor and Mantis? Would make no sense to compete with yourself.
Shawn:
But Cedar Fair didn't own Geauga Lake when Wicked Twister was installed. They were competing against another park at the time (Six Flags), which is logical. But any future attractions will compete against themselves. If CP builds a bigger, longer, faster floorless than Dominator, then you lose an appeal to go to GL. I know I do...it's one of the few rides I like at GL. Why go to GL, when I would have a better floorless at CP?
net, you're equating bigger, longer, faster with better....That's not a guarantee as is proven by Mean Streak.
Personally, I enjoy Mean Streak, but the polls and opinions expressed on sites such as this seem to prove otherwise.
Plus, how many people that don't live in the Geauga Lake area are going to go there over Cedar Point regardless of CP building a floorless?

I was reading back on page 2 of this topic about the problems the park faced with TTD and WT so they won't add another coaster for a while. Then someone said it was all Intamin's fault.
Now, I have to say that from looking up information on the history of CP and what the Richard Kinzel, the CEO of Cedar Fair, has done with the park, roller coasters are truly the backbone of Cedar Point's popularity. MF and TTD are at the top of everyones top favorite list. Please tell me that a manufacturer that has made the best rides to be built on Cedar Point soil sucks. If the roller coaster capital of the world stops building coasters just imagine what would happen.

The kind of weird part of floorlesses for me is that they give you about the same feeling as an invert...For example, you build a floorless coaster track just right above of raptor, all the stats were about the same...I'd bet you that it'd feel exactly like the raptor...only on top of the track...

Well, as for cotton's raptor idea. That's mostly true, but you woudn't feel as much lateral G's on the barrel rolls because you are a bit closer to the track on a floorless. I realy don't see a different between a B&M steel twister and a floorless. They're the same to me. Plus, the cool thing about raptor is that there is no track below you. A regular floorless is just weird before there is a track below you.
I agree. I was thinking, maybe CP should make a regular coaster like Magnum or MF. The height interval's between rides are very large over 200ft. It goes from 205, then Wicked Twister but that's not a traditional drop, to 310, then to 420. I think throwing in some rides inbetween the margins would be a great addition.
