I've been on the B&M version (Superman: Ultimate Flight) and the Vekoma version (X-Flight/Batman Something Or Other). The B&M is boring. The Vekoma is fun in the loop, but the rest is a snooze. You can't do anything that interesting unless it's buried in terrain because the forces are too great when you're horizontal like that.
The only thing "missing" from the lineup is a floorless, and I'd rather go for fun (Hydra) than longest/tallest (Dominator).

I agree with you Jeff, flyers are a bore. I haven't been on Hydra yet ;) but I enjoyed Dominator. I still think the frontier area needs a fun wood coaster.

Yeah now that I think about it, I would much prefer a floorless. But still, even if cedar point gets a flyer, they will do it the right way. No matter what they put in, it will blow us away, even if it is a flyer, they will make it amazing.

Well has everyone forgot that it might be possible that they maybe putting in an "off the shelf" coaster like the one that went into mall of america. Its small, cheap and easy to install in realitly small area, aka the space between the mean streak and the train track area in frontier area, the que would be great were there is bathrooms that were under construction or destruction in the frontier area this weekend 10/9/2004. Lets face it if was a dueling dragon coaster, the steel would have to be on site like already, it took almost a year to build the dueling dragons at IOA and they didnt have to remove a water ride to build it.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
I genuinely would still love to see a flyer. Any flyer. (even Vekoma if it works right)
Peronally I find them fun. Gimmicky? Maybe. I really enjoyed Superman at Great Adventure and really, really enjoyed it at SFoG.
I'd like to see what some of the non-air custom models look like someday.
I wonder when they are going to make an announcement regarding next years new attraction(s)?
Eventually, I would like to see a floorless coaster rather than a flyer.
Like Jeff said, there fun. Flyers give me a headace.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Does anyone find it funny that the kingda Ka is like 30 some feet taller than the dragster and the it technically going only 3 mph faster? I mean the problems that dragster has in barely squeeking over the top now add another 30 feet and it becomes rollback city, plus the dragster routinely launches between 116mph-127mph. SUCKERS lmao.

I agree with Crazy Horse. I like Fliers but Floorless has more thrilling approach than a flier. I think, if they get one they should put it in the back in frontiertown. If it's true that they are deleting White Water Landing, I think that a flooless would fit good in that area. In the cartoon map, it doesn't look like much area but there is plenty of room. It would really be cool if it was a dueling floorless, because it would make it the second coaster behind Gemini that duel. I doubt this would happen because they would have to take quite a few things out just to do this kind of project. I doubt Cedar Point wants to do that. So they'll probably go with a good floorless, maybe breaking a couple records, but not for speed, but maybe for most inversions on a floorless and tallest of any floorless. I don't know if they'll get any coaster because they haven't brought any track in yet. Unless they don't expect shipping until November when the park closes.
A few weeks I rode Tonnerre de Zeus at the Parc Asterix here in Paris. It was great, much better than either Blue Streak or Mean Streak. This is what CP needs.
I rode X-Flight before it left PGA in California and it sucked - it managed to be both boring and nauseating at the same time.

CP fan since 68.
I say the heck with a floorless as well. Geauga Lake has a great one, so what's the point of adding another one 1.5 hours away? I would like to see a Spiining Dragons x 2...twice as big and long, maybe with bigger cars. That would be a blast. Put it in the Peanuts Playground area. I'd also like to see a classic wooden coaster similar to Thunderhead. Went on it in May and it was outstanding.
If we are going for a record breaker, why not a 200ft. suspended terrain with floorless trains. I love the conept of Iron Dragon, but this thing seems to get tamer and slower each year...I know it's me.

What would be the difference between a suspended with floorless trains and an invert like Raptor?
I prefer the invert more than just about any coaster type (although the spinning wild-mouse ran up to a close second). I would love to see CP install another invert, or even better dueling inverts, but I think since they already have raptor, we won't be seeing this anytime soon.
