...yet they find it necessary to cut operating costs everywhere possible, even if it is at the expense of the guest's experience (see Magnum's turnstyle position last year).

It would be a shocker if the new ride/attraction is not even close to anyones guess. It would actually be a good thing. Like a 600 footer. Juuuust kidding. If they made a 500 footer or a water coaster people would be like "See I told you so". BUT if its nowones guess it would ACTUALLY be a suprise. Just whatever you do dont listen to maintenance because everyone beleives what maint tells them. And Im sure they find it quite funny that everyones so gullable.

I think they will build a wall from Whitewater Landing Station to the Train Station to keep people out, but thats all. It would cost to much to go from Train Station to Thunder Canyon just to keep people from seeing what is going on when you ride the Train.

I'd be surprised to see any type of wall whatsoever. I'd think they'd build a wooden fence around the area, just to keep people on the "beaten path". The site is large enough that they could start doing some of their work on the far side (nearest the RR tracks), which would limit visibility, since it would be difficult to see from the park side, and you'd have a limited amount of time from the RR side. Just a thought, though - who knows?

Thats a good point Djdaemon. I'd rather see a wall go up 6 feet tall and have benches near by that way it looks like nothing happend. I think though no matter what they do people will be curious and noisy of the area. So I betcha there will be lines next year for The train at both stations. The biggest line I think will be by Millennium Force.
Ya im completly lost in what they are going to do. I had no clue they were taking it down and just noticed it on websites like a couple weeks ago... its kinda sad but there must be a reason for them to take it down like that...they gota have something big going in there otherwise they wouldn't just take it down like that. But im my opinion they are up to something......
I believe they poured the footers in April '02. It gives the date on the photos in the construction gallery of TTD's website.
