News: Cedar Point blog shows footers at WWL site - Part II

Jeff has, "connections." ;)

The only people that know what the ride will be is high ranking executives and I guess the construction guys. But those contruction guys if they know will have contracts that forbid them of telling what the ride is. So I dont care what anyone claims, but they do not know. Cedar Fair is a publically traded company. They have shareholders to answer to. Random people outside of the Executives will not have knowledge of what "project 2007" is. If this is huge project which it probably is, then it will have a huge price tag. It would not be fair to shareholders if X's friend tells Y's dad and he tells Jeff. That is not the way a company is run.

Well, it would be at the level of the lake, and there is not much grade increase from the lake to WWL. 10 feet maybe 20?

If Jeff says he knows...he knows. I don't doubt it for a second. At this stage in the game I suspect there are a number of people who know.

The reason Jeff is in good standing with CP is that he doesn't tick them off.

^Jeff knows more about the project than all of us on this site. I'm sure Walt knows a bit too. Those two have a good relation with the park and Jeff's history has shown that he does have a clue about what is going on. All in all, he has connections.

Anyone in the architecture and planning departments would know too. Plus all the people at the ride manufacturer. The executives don't draw these things. Draftsmen and designers do. So, all of them know exactly whats going to be build YEARS in advance. I'm sure they have a master plan of some sort. I used to be an Imagineer at Disney and they have master plans that go more than ten years into the future. So, lots of people know. But, if they like their jobs, they say nothing. I can't talk about anything I worked on at Disney until it opens. (Then again, I'd like to go back there again too, so that's why I stay quiet!)

CP has a thing for the color red.

I think that there is even more than what can be seen in those photos. Best I can tell, those photos were taken before 2:00, as that's when they were posted, and when I drove by at 2:30, I think there was more over there than that.

WHOA!!!! it really IS coaster track. holy cr@p.

these signs, which I did not see myself:

1. "Back up, Bronco! This here's a construction zone!"
2. "We're goin' in a whole new direction!"
3. "Here we go again!"

indicate to me that it may be some sort of ride like faceoff at PKI where riders face each other, go through the ride once, then back through backwards? Sounds kinda similar to WT for my liking, but that seems like a logical guess given the signs about directions and 'going again'.

The new direction thing seems to be hinting a 4D as well.

They way I read the signs is:
1. Simply a creative indication of the construction zone.
2. Something completely different from everything else Cedar Point has.
3. We're building another ride, or building another coaster.
Other than that, I don't think that there's that much to read into it.

On a side note, while I was having lunch, I spotted Tyler over by where White Water Landing use to come down the main drop near the turn on the midway, and it seemed to me that he was taking a picture of two people that were over there (with the site in the background). I couldn't tell for sure who the other two were, but one looked familiar as a construction worker that had been working in the area. I just thought that was kind of interesting.

Well I can tell you right now that trading on "inside information" is illegal. You are not allowed to trade on any material non-public information. I can not believe that senior management would leak a potential 20+ million dollar investment. Nobody except the high ranking executives know what "project 2007" is. I guarantee you this. They would be violating their fiduciary duty to shareholders.

I'm sure it was more exciting before they put the tarp on. I took these from the Breakers Express parking lot. I didn't feel comfortable walking through the grass to get close ups. You know me, always taking the side of caution. Not that a close up on a tarp would be any more exciting. :)

I really think that looks like coaster track. Because if you look at the bottom left corner it looks to be the square like track you'd see on MF, and TTD. But you never know.

Walt, you have probably seen them, but can I post the pics of what you are showing that show a bit more? They are not mine and you have probably already seen them today.

Wow...now this is getting a bit more exciting.:)

Big Dog whether you believe Jeff knows or not is really none of my concern.

If he knew Cedar Fair was going to buy all of the Anhueser-Busch Parks tomorrow and he told everyone driving the stock up or down would certainly be a problem.

And what might those pictures show??

You can see what appears to be red track.

Don't you think that "heading in a new direction" and "the path less taken" fit together a lot better to point to a new midway than some cryptic clue about the coaster type that few people would understand anyway?

I would say the biggest "news" of today is the size of the staging area that's been established. Anyone care to compare to the size of staging area used for Millennium Force? Anyone still doubt the size of the entire project here?
