If it is realy an Intamin Quad-Rail Track, I don't see it being an Aquatrax. The ride is not large enough and does not contain enough forces to make it a Quad-Rail. It would most likely be a Tri-Rail (or what ever you want to call it).
It's Quad-Rails, and it has a large radius. I guess I can't link to the picture, so your just going to have to believe me.
But a the dude who took the picture works at CP, his name is Charlie, or CJD...

I found a picture of the only existing Aquatrax with quad rails!

The Aquatrax has tall, narrow quad track.......just something to keep in mind.

I had no idea that an Aquatrax had Quad-Rail Track. I guess that doesn't make me the IntaminGuru. ;)
Has anyone put together the idea of dueling aquatrax rides yet?
Those footers in the pond could be for a turn where the boats almost race each other.
Once the park opens, new photos will bring to light the fact that the footers in the pond are only for a single tracked turn around. Although some angles of that turn show two sets of footers, other angles show that they merge to a line of single ones once the turn straightens out.

That would assure that it can't be dueling Aquatrax. But then again, I wouldn't want to ride an Invert or a flyer will only a single footer/support. I would want an extra extension to make it a triangle and have a strong hold. Unless the track flips and you are lying instead of flying.

Wait, are you saying you don't think single footers will hold the track properly? I'm pretty sure that's not the case...the designers know what they're doing. However, you bring up a good point that long strings of single footers usually correspond to an upright track configuration, a la Intamin sitdown of some type.
I haven't seen any pictures that were taken illegally (tarp removed = illegal?), just ones that were taken looking at the tarp. In one pic though the wind was blowing on the tarp and there is no doubt CP has an Intamin on their hands. A cool, themed Aquatrax? A gigantic sit down looper? Intamin 4D ball coaster? 500 ft? What else could Intamin track be? I was talking with my friend and we were thinking that this ride could have some sort of track flip where the trains could travel backwards later in the layout. This seems most plausible with an Aquatrax with the realtively short trains. I feel like this ride will have some sort of cool twist..."going in a completely new direction"...etc.
Peace.

No, I'm not saying that single footers can't hold track, I'm saying that it will be pretty evident (once the pics are posted) that these particular footers will only hold a single track because of how they are oriented. In that curve, the footers go from two wide to a single line once it's straightens out.

I can't imagine an Aqua Trax, for it to be at least remotely interesting, it has to at least have some theming, which Cedar Point did a fantastic job in the past with.

Ooooh here's something:
I was looking at the TTD construction gallery, and there is a photo that says "Realised by Martin and Vleminckx," and lists their website, www.martin-vleminckx.com. It seems they are a consulting firm that amusement parks use when taking on new projects.
Well, I went to the site, looked around, and as of November 2005, they list that a "Major USA project" will be announced soon.
Although it is true that this "major project" could be in any USA park, perhaps Martin and Vleminckx is working on Project 2007 as well?
In any case, I think details will continue to make themselves clear in the next few weeks, as more and more people get first-hand accounts of the area.
There was a post on CB that gave a relatively clear indication of what P2007 is. The post was removed, lending even more credence to its credibility. It is safe to say that Jeff was right - we'll all be happy. :)

I read something over on another site that said that when T&T said "the path not taken isn't always best" they were referring to Maverick, the name of the ride, not the layout, because that is the definition of a Maverick.

Yeah good question, CPFan420.
Let's see: if a post from COASTERBUZZ was removed, why on earth would it stay up on POINTBUZZ?
Also, why would djDaemon want to commit forum-suicide?
All that I am going to say is that this ride will be unlike anything that we have ever seen or it will go backwards.
Why do I say this? because there is a construction sign on the site that says "we're going in a whole new direction." hmmmmmm. tricky tricky CP

^ That looks like Intamin track to me, but I can't tell if its flat or if its part of the box track like on MF or Dragster.
