I'm actually a part of a few forums, and an avid poster on them, as well. I realize sidetracks happen, but rarely do 2 page arguments over grammar occur. Maybe it just speaks to the overall maturity of the other forums compared to this one (or at least a select portion of the posters, not everyone, of course).
Back on topic, I don't like the idea of the largest water ride. It's a novelty, and after the first season or two, will not really mean anything. I mean, SRF was the largest when it was introduced, but who cares now? It's just a nothing layout with a drop that gets you soaked. To me, leave the water rides to Soak City. I never understood why someone wants to walk around all day in wet underwear or a drenched wallet. I know one can where a poncho, but that defeats the whole purpose of the ride.
If a water ride is put in, I would prefer it be a themed ride adventure that gets you a little wet, like WWL. Another point to consider is since Halloweekends are so popular at CP, it makes more sense to invest in a coaster or flat ride that can operate in the cold months.
I'll tell ya, take out SRF, and utilize the space behind it, and I can see a large coaster going in that spot. Not starting a rumor, just making an example.
This is just my theory on this rumor of a new water ride. Personally I believe that if this rumored water ride is indeed going to be built then it would most likely be for the 2010 season. Otherwise, some footers (or markings for footers) would have been around while CP was still open for the season, due to the amount of time that they must cure before being used. As i do not believe this is the case, if any construction begins to take place the ride itself will probably not open until the next operating season. Which in my theory would be 2010.
Consider both of you warned. If you like posting here, you should be more careful.
