Back to the acutal thread...Screamscape reported a while back that thier "informer" believed that the new coaster wuld be the "tallest ride in the park", making it over 330 feet. The height is the most intriguing part of the new ride to me. The layout, speed, capacty I can live without right now, but its the height that I am excited about. Can Jeff, or anyone shed any light on the Screamscape comment about the height? Thanks!

I think you need to look at it with more common sense.  I really don't think that its going to be a record breaker.  Every ride CP builds doesn't have to be a record breaker.  Assuming that we are getting an impulse its not going to be as high and as fast as everyone things its going to be.  S:UE is around 180ft with a top speed of 70mph.  Now I think that if our version has a longer train its going to take more to launch it so I really don't think its going to be the tallest ride in the park.  The numbers just don't seem to work out.

Practically every single roller coaster Cedar Point has ever built has been a record breaker or broken some sort of record.  I would imagine that Cedar Point's new ride will break some world record. 

OK, I know I never post during the offseason, but I need to be part of the biggest thread to date! I just want to say that I was a little disappointed when Jeff said it would most likely be an Intamin shuttle. I so badly wanted a CCI woodie! I know I should just be happy with whatever we will get, but I wanted a woodie really bad! I don't hate the park (so no one goes off on me) I am just a little disappointed.
