Sorry to be the dumb one but what is IAAPA?

IAAPA is the annual trade show for the amusement industry. Ride, food, and game manufacturers set up displays demonstrating and previewing upcoming products. Industry watchers get a chance to mingle with the who's who of the park world. This year's show is in Orlando.

i know this is off topic but when is jeff posting the 2001 survey?

I'm a little confused. I thought Cobo had WAY more floorspace than the Silverdome. Not just Cobo arena... but Cobo hall + Cobo arena.

I've never been to an IAAPA (and heck, before this month I've never even heard of IAAPA) but from the sound of it, Cobo, Cobo Arena, Cobo parking structure, and the Joe probably couldn't hold it.

Cobo has enough trouble fitting the Auto Show in there as-is.

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I just thought I'd ask if anyone noticed something on the header at the top of the CP web page. If you look closely next to the Giant Wheel, where the new construction is happening, you can see a hill that is not part of any existing coaster. You may need to zoom in to see it Just thought I'd point it out. I'm going nuts waiting for the announcement.

Are you sure, because in that picture the Raptor lift is to the right of the Blue Streak. But who knows, I've never really looked very closely at that picture before.

I wonder how cool the theme song will be for this new "ride" (if there is one, but I sure hope there is!). MF's is absolutely great! I am expecting to hear an announcement before November 23.............I really don't know, though.

You know what would be neat during the winter?? On the header on CP's site, they could have the park with snow covering everything, and a crane where they're building the new ride...

Didn't they have snow on their website last year. I believe it was before the upgrade to the site.
