So what if it would have to undergo a complete overhaul????  They're building things from scratch, like they can't change an existing building.

THE DEAL IS UP BRO......GET IN THE FLASK
Jeff, V2 (at least the one at GAm) has the computer room underneath the ride.
This idea just popped into my head...Yes, I know its probably impossible, but I like to think up stuff like this. Intimin tracks are 4-sided right?
http://www.guidetothepoint.com/thepoint/gallery/img.asp?img=h-mfconst01.jpg
Well, could they theoretically, hang an inverted train from the bottom of the track and have a sit down "Millennium Force" type train on top of the track?

Thus creating 2 rides and 2x the capacity?
But would the weight of the trains be that much of a factor if they were launched at the same time, keeping the train-track-train weight in ballance?

It was just a out-of-my-mind thought. I dont' see why it couldn't be done.

But what if the trains where  connected! Very interesting!

Newt, the problem with them being connected is, where would the supports go?

BirdOfPrey while that's an interesting notion, the wheels for the coasters would never allow for it in a safe manner.

I had that idea Coasterbuzz.  The trains wouldn't be connected though.  The supports would come out of the sides of the track instead.

Where are some new photos of the track onsite? Or any new construction?

Go Full Force

I think Jeff said that was a false rumor.

The whole notion of having 2 trains on the same track isn't that new...
I can understand how wheels wouldn't allow for two trains to be on one track in a safe manner, I think if they did  go with two trains for some reason... We could see some extra extra wide rectangles from intamin for supports and the wheels.  I think this might be a sight to see

Okay, when are they going to announce the ride? The park is closed

If the supports came out of the sides of the track, where would the cross-bracing go to avoid the side wheels...

The supports would stick out like this (pretend the 1's are lined up). I don't understand what you're saying JMstuckman...

I mean, wouldn't the rails have insufficent internal support or gauge problems if the cross-bracing between them was so spread out? Usually, there is something between the two rails...

Jmstuckman, this is Intamin Box track, like on most of MF, where there's 4 rails on the corners of the box...there's plenty of cross bracing.  While this would be awesome, I don't think this will be the case.

What I mean was, how do you connect the upper and lower sections of the train without hitting any crossbracing? The inside of the box would have to be "hollow." Someone draw me a cross-section...I fear that the po!ntlessness of this discussion will cause the thread to close, and that ain't good

My understanding of this has been that the upper and lower trains aren't connected; I've seen this concept discussed elsewhere, described as a seated/inverted racing coaster.

(36 pages & finally I got to make a contribution to this Very Long Thread!)
