Kevin, I am 100% percent with you. C'mon Tony! Can you give us another hint, or date, or something that may actually happen next year to speculate on? I'm slowly losing interest...not a good sign.:(
Asking for more hints isn't exactly a sign that your interest is waning. ;)
Well, kind of. Haha. I guess I'm just desperate haha.;)

There's something called the Detroit River that drains into Lake Erie; over time it'll just fill back up again. ;)

My personal level of interest has not waxed or waned, but the absolute lack of any "clues" whatsoever has surprised me. I'm just trying to spark the discussion back to 2015, and away from parking decks, trams, and filling the lake in to create more room.
The lack of teasers and clues leads me to believe it won't be anything that most of you would consider major. I'm completely in the dark.

^Yeah. Its probably best we start 2015 speculating again. It's just getting hard because (I have a bad way with words, so please don't bash me too hard for this), he hasn't been giving us very good hints or teases that we can actually make reasonable guesses on. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. But I'm getting tired of waiting.(Geez, I'm sounding spoiled by the usual August announcements).:/

I understand. While we have been told it will be a thrill ride, it's hard to fit that into any sort of parameters considering WindSeeker was described similarly in 2010 when, depending on your comfort with heights, that isn't exactly a "thrill" ride.
I expect the 2015 attraction to not be as significant as GateKeeper, but more so than the Gemini Midway improvements we got this year.
I think Cedar Point needs a HUSS Top Spin.
The one at King's Island used to be called the Crypt and Tony did tweet this last week
"I know it's totally cryptic, but I received news earlier that made me VERY excited for the future here. #sorryhadtoshare"

Since there hasn't been an announcement yet, and no sightings of coaster track or construction of some sort, how much longer do we have before we can completely rule out a new coaster for next year?
If it was a coaster then footers would already start to be filled. If not then at least ground clearance. I think it'll be a flat ride as well as midway revamp.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't they pour bridge-like footers in the lake in that area and build a garage there? With that amount of space even a 2 level garage would ease the parking load (in the future).
EDIT: Sorry, forgot to quote what I wanted to from 2 pages ago showing an area to expand in the lake.

There's really only one other detail I would love to know before the announcement and that would be the location. The last several years of announcements seem to have been pretty obvious as to where a new attraction will go, except for maybe Skyhawk. I'm not convinced the markings by Raptor are for a new ride, even though that seems like a safe bet. Perhaps there's a reason why that in particular has been kept under wraps.

I don't think making artificial land is a good idea.
Why do you say that? Isn't Cedar Point's causeway manmade? I don't think http://i.imgur.com/VUDXRfF.jpg would be as far fetched as it's being made out to be... It's just that I don't see Cedar Point wanting/needing to do this (at least any time soon).

You don't trademark a name for a seasonal attraction.
Maybe, if you're a corporation that owns 11 amusement parks, most of which have Halloween events, you trademark a name for a seasonal attraction most or all of them will use...
If the park does hold out on announcing the ride for another month or so, I'd be curious to know why they waited so long. Yes, I get that the park doesn't owe us anything and they can announce it whenever they please but it is odd. It's strange for parks to wait that long, especially when other parks in the chain have announced theirs.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
The announcement dates for Cedar Point and most parks vary from year to year. Major attractions tend to get announced earlier to drive season pass sales, but that is not always a hard rule (as the case of Dragster being announced in January shows). What happens next year at other parks really has no bearing on Cedar Point so there is no reason for them to happen at the same time, except maybe when multiple parks are getting the same ride.
As for the trademarks, they don't necessarily mean anything. They are certainly possibilities, but Centurion appears to be nothing more than an alternate/decoy name for Fury 325, and years ago they trademarked Stratosoar which appears to be an alternate for WindSeeker.
