Just going to say this now, you don't remove the eyesore that was Disaster Transport only to put an even bigger eyesore in a parking deck on the property.
Not with the high water table. You'd be asking for serious trouble.

You mean High right?
SV ruins all other rides.
Or just put a garage at the other end of the causeway and build a monorail, a la Disney. Keep the road for preferred parking, hotel access, and buses. That being said, they could build an underground parking garage. It would just be expensive. I'm not saying it is a good idea, but with limited space, it might become necessary in a few decades.
Touche.
This (the last 5-6 pages) is exactly what happens when the park does not throw the audience a bone. It's slowly disintegrating into chaos. Did I see someone suggesting pouring sand in Lake Erie to increase its size?
That's where we're at people.
We still have as much to work with in terms of guessing as we did weeks ago. I thought Jason warned Tony about people losing interest if one waits too long?

Noggin - don't forget the other important part of the comparison. Walt Disney World IS the local government.
I didn't forget -- the Reedy Creek Improvement District is a fairly unique beast that has long fascinated me -- I did edit quite a bit before hitting "submit reply".
I recently read that, that while the full name is "Golden Oak at Walt Disney World Resort", RCID 'de-annexed' the land. Presumably to avoid all those non-Disney employees having a vote.
cl94: the problem I see with a monorail is the cost. Monorails are expensive. Sao Paulo's monorail system works out to $50 million per mile. The Las Vegas Monorail cost nearly $150 million per mile. Since the short route involved would not allow the company to enjoy economies of scale, the cost would, I think, be too high to justify.

That would be great. I can build more sandcastles.
I don't think making artificial land is a good idea.

You know, I've been hearing a lot here that "Rougarou" will be used at Cedar Point, but elsewhere I've been hearing that it will be the name of a haunt in Kings Island; what's up with that?

You don't trademark a name for a seasonal attraction.
Because what you hear here or else where on the Internet, when it comes to amusement park speculation, has very little to do with reality.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Kevin, I am 100% percent with you. C'mon Tony! Can you give us another hint, or date, or something that may actually happen next year to speculate on? I'm slowly losing interest...not a good sign.:(
