Hmm, that's funny. My phone doesn't say tomorrow is anywhere near over. Bit early for an "I told you so", don't you think?
Depends. It Depends.

And we've been over this before... the layouts of all but recent B&M's and Intamins were designed by the same firm: Stengle. I don't think people realize that Raptor and Millennium Force were designed by the same people.
I didn't realize that. I've been on this site almost every day for years now (sad, I know) and don't recall reading that anywhere. So the fact that "we've been over this" is something I've missed, apparently. It's not like you can find anything with the search function.

You can't use Google?

When you say "we've been overt his before", do mean on PointBuzz? I remember you saying this in a post, but is there a thread I can read through? I'm a pretty big roller coaster fan and I had no idea.
I looked at the rcdb link you posted but it just sorts it by Roller Coaster, Amuseemnt Park, Type, etc. How do I see which ones are made by this firm? I'm curious to see which coasters are done by the same firm (but different companies).

I know, I know, people without as much free time as you are so annoying...
Sorry, what? Jeff looked up what was asked about. You missed that it was already filtered. I pointed that out. Drop it.
I don't think it's about the amount of "free time" but rather the effort one puts into actually investigating a site like RCDB. If you're new to it then it's understandable, but if you've been aware of it for many years and have visited it many times, I see no reason why you (or anyone) should have a decent grasp how the various functions work or how things are categorized. That being said, it's a pretty straight forward site.
Also, any text in blue is your best friend. :)

Track has arrived at Carowinds.I'm being completely honest, I think they are getting a wing coaster. I think everything has been a teaser, even the names. Look how much space is between the track (tubes) and the supports; that's a lot of room. It allows for the wing seats to hang slightly below the track yet not too low. If it was a giga coaster, there would be less room between the track (tube part) and the supports. I could be wrong but that's my opinion
I doubt it's a Wing Coaster. Gatekeeper doesn't have that much space between the box and the tubes. Although, that track is a little different. Is it going to have the stagger seating again?
Another thought. Assuming Fury 325 is coming to Carowinds, we may be getting Centurion. Possibly for CP's upcoming 2015th season? Maybe for Cedar Point's 150th season in 2020. Five year plan?
It will be interesting to see what Carowinds ends up with tomorrow. When I heard the rumor of a 300'+ coaster I thought it was tad weird, just a few years ago they built Intimidator which is B&M hyper around 240' so I will be surprised if it is indeed the rumored 325' giga-coaster.
Absolutely it will work, and if it is the giga I will most likely venture that way next summer to ride it. I can't say the same if it were a winged, launched, diver etc... My favorite coaster type is definitely the hyper/giga family.
I didn't intend to mean that it was bad idea or anything of the sort, just simply that I would be surprised - but that would actually be a good thing!
If Carowinds got a B&M launched flyer, I'd be there for media/opening day.. Though, realistically, that's never gonna happen. :P
My carowinds prediction is that it will be called fury 325 go over 100 mph non launched and be 325 FT or I guess it could be called centurion but that is very unlikely. sorry this has nothing to do with cedar point.
The track pictures at carowinds have a fair amount of distance between the track and the support beam. I am pretty sure it's because it is a non-banked first or second turn before the lift hill. Or a similar type, super slow turn. It seems it could still be inverted or any other "normal" arrangement. Either way Carowinds is getting a new "bad-ass" coaster.

I never said they referenced what was coming, just simply that those 2 rides were going away. Making a point on how the ride ops aren't always wrong.
The demise of those rides had been predicted annually for years prior to it actually happening. That it finally happened doesn't mean the ride op was correct, just that their guess was luckily timed.
