I highly doubt a new attraction announcement would be made to seasonal workers at the bash. These announcements are made to the media for publicity, there is no point in making any kind of announcement at an employee party. You guys are really making it easy for Tony to mess with you.

Are you sure about that? After all, the offseason lasts six months, and there's still over two months remaining in this season...NTG's conversion took 18 months. So if we're to assume MS will be converted, it won't be for 2015.
That was also the prototype. The next two conversions took 9-10 months each. I'm guessing this would be for the haunt. There was a giant red skull thing sitting over by there on Sunday when my wife and I took the train.
In chronological order, NTG took 18 months, IR took over 9 months, and Medusa took almost 10 months.
And it's important to keep in mind that the two quicker conversion were done to coasters significantly smaller than NTG (MS' "twin"). Taking RMC's most recent conversion duration, applied to a coaster of MS' size, means it would take almost 14 months to complete.
And that's ignoring the impact of weather. NTG, IR, and Medusa were all done in climates that have far more favorable winters.

So Medusa and Rattler took essentially the same amount of time, which was half of what Texas Giant needed. Also, averaging all of them together isn't how you go about estimating the amount of time necessary to pull off one of these makeovers. You may want to reference exactly how long Rattler was when it was a wood coaster to see one of the variables at work, for starters.
If you look at the pictures on Tony's blog at CP.com, you will see the pics giving you clues on 2015... What if the Pic of MS is a clue that they're leveling it and eventually replacing it? In the mean time saving on maintenance costs for a coaster that really doesn't put out the thrill it used to and is unpopular among guests. Just knowing that MS and Mantis will have some change for 2015 makes this exciting!

Yes, partly because those two coasters are physically much shorter and smaller than NTG (and MS).

I didn't average the time. I took their most recent project duration, since that's presumably their most efficient project so far.
The point is that, based on these past projects, there's simply no way MS could get the RMC treatment in time for 2015.

Go back and re-read, because that's not what he said.
As Pete said, you guys are making it WAY too easy for him to mess with you. I'd bet the announcement would actually happen sooner if so many of you weren't obsessing over what are clearly red herrings.
Fish in a barrel.

We do not have any information at all that anything is being changed on MS or Mantis outside of a paint test strip on Mantis, which only may indicate that it is due for some new paint. Other than that, zero/nothing/zilch. Only pure fantasy and pipe dreams.
The only thing mentioned by CP was Jason telling the Register that the new attraction will focus on teens and thrill seekers, with speculation that it will go in the front of the park because of all the utility markings on the pavement. All this talk of RMC and floorless trains is just silly as it is all vaporware as we used to say in the software industry.
